About
Need page numbers on a PDF before you print, submit or share it? Numly stamps page numbers onto every page of any PDF — pick the position and format, see a live preview, and export a new numbered PDF.
Select a PDF, choose where the numbers go and how they look, and tap Add Page Numbers. Then share the result or save it to Files.
• SIX POSITIONS — top or bottom, left, center or right.
• SIX FORMATS — 1 · Page 1 · - 1 - · 1 of N · 1 / N · i, ii, iii.
• START AT ANY NUMBER — begin at 1 or any number up to 9999, and skip the first page to leave a cover unnumbered.
• SIZE AND COLOR — 8 to 36 pt in black, gray, white or purple, with a live preview of the first numbered page.
• VECTOR-PRESERVING — pages keep their original sharp text and graphics; links and bookmarks are carried over to the new file.
• BATCH NUMBERING (Pro) — select up to 50 PDFs at once and number them all with the same settings.
Honest scope: Numly adds page numbers only — no headers, footers, Bates numbering or custom text. The “Page” and “of” words follow your iPhone’s language. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first, and files up to 500 pages and 80 MB are supported. Your original file is never changed.
Everything happens on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.

Fixed: on iOS 27, numbered PDFs lost their bookmarks. The table of contents now comes through intact, nested entries included, and each opens the right page.
