About
Slide. Sum. Score.
NumShift is a fresh take on the number puzzle. Slide entire rows and columns across a 5×5 board — when adjacent tiles add up to the target number, they merge and you score.
Start simple with pairs that equal 10, then level up as the target climbs to 15, 20, and beyond. What begins as easy arithmetic becomes a strategic challenge as you plan moves ahead, set up chain reactions, and keep the board from filling up.
WHAT MAKES NUMSHIFT DIFFERENT
Unlike other number puzzles, you shift entire rows or columns — not every tile at once. This gives you precise control over the board. And tiles don't merge by matching — they merge by summing to a target. That one twist changes everything.
HOW TO PLAY
• Swipe left or right to slide a row
• Swipe up or down to slide a column
• Adjacent tiles that add up to the target number merge automatically
• New tiles spawn after every move
• The game ends when the board fills with no possible merges
FEATURES
• Unique target-sum mechanic — not just another 2048 clone
• 4 levels with increasing targets (10 → 15 → 20 → 25)
• Combo multiplier system — chain consecutive merges for massive scores
• Multi-tile merges — combine 2, 3, 4, or even 5 tiles at once
• Undo button — take back your last move
• Game Center leaderboards — compete globally for high score and highest level
• Satisfying haptic feedback and sound effects
• Clean, minimal dark-mode design
• Works on iPhone and iPad
• No ads. No timers. No nonsense.

What's New in NumShift!
1.2.2
August 25, 2026
Hints, real sound, and a quieter Game Center. Stuck? Tap Hint for a nudge — they're free, and a perfect Daily restocks you. Merges and slides now play on media volume and honor Silent. The Game Center rocket stays on the signed-in menu, not over the board. Also in 1.2.2: if a newer NumShift is on the App Store, we'll mention it on the menu (and in Settings).
