What's New in NutCase
1.5
October 21, 2026
NutCase 1.5: your nut habit, one tap away. TODAY'S HANDFUL The dashboard now opens with the question that matters: have you had your nuts today? A check mark answers it, seven slots show your week, and your usual nuts sit right there as one-tap buttons. Missed days simply stay empty: no red marks, no guilt. WIDGET AND CONTROL CENTER Add the Today's Handful widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen to see your week at a glance and log your usual nut with one tap, without opening the app. Tapped the wrong nut? Undo appears on the widget for 15 minutes. Prefer Control Center? Add "Log My Usual Handful" there, to the Lock Screen or to the Action button. On Mac, the same widget sits on your desktop or in Notification Center. LOG IT FROM THE REMINDER Reminder notifications now have a "Log it" button, so you can record your handful right from the Lock Screen. INSIGHTS See your habit over time: a calendar of the days you had your handful, your magnesium, vitamin E, selenium, fiber and protein week by week, how varied your nut mix is, and which nut would add something new. Pick goals such as heart or brain health to see which nuts list benefits for them. The last 4 weeks are free; Premium opens 12 weeks, a whole year and every past month. UNDO INSTEAD OF "ARE YOU SURE?" Deleting an entry now happens straight away, with an Undo button in case you didn't mean it. UPDATED BRAZIL NUT GUIDANCE A single Brazil nut already covers a day's selenium, so NutCase now recommends at most one a day and logs a full serving as one nut. The Eating Guide has a new section on contaminants and sensitivities. A FRIENDLIER START New users get a short welcome that ends with their first logged handful. NutCase now asks for your location only when you open the shop directory, and the list of shops stays up to date. BUILT FOR THE MAC On Mac, NutCase now works like a Mac app: sections as tabs in the toolbar (⌘1 to ⌘5), a dashboard that lists your days with a sortable table for each one, an Intake menu with Log Intake… (⇧⌘N) and your usual nuts, and Delete and ⌘Z on entries. File ▸ New Window is back, too. LIGHT AND DARK FOR EVERYONE Choosing light or dark appearance is now free. FIXES • Reminder streaks now count your actual logs; they could show 0 before. • The app icon badge no longer comes back every time you open the app. • Allergy warnings now appear whichever way you log a nut. NutCase is free to use, with an optional Premium tier if you want more. No ads, no tracking, no data sold, and iCloud sync included for everyone. Thanks for using NutCase, and here's to a nuttier, more consistent you.
