Is this app defunct?
I keep trying to start an account and getting a “network request failed” error. Also the website is expired, so I can’t contact the developers.
Dont even bother
Tried this app out because I love getting clothes for cheap but unfortunately I had a terrible experience. I ordered three pieces of clothing and the item never arrived it said “forward expired” keep in mind I never changed my address or anything it was all correct. Nuws way of fixing this issue was telling me they can’t do anything about it since USPS won’t help a claim like this blah blah. So I’m out of $10.10 okay whatever I ordered again tried a different address now this time the lady won’t ship my items. She told me she was going through stuff completely understandable she said she would ship the items out that Saturday it’s currently Thursday of the next week and no shipment. Safe to say I will not using this app and let’s hope I can actually get a refund on the second order since she didn’t ship it :( don’t recommend. Great idea for an app but definitely not worth the hassle.

Great idea but needs improvements
I really love the idea and I am happy to spend the 99c fee for an item if it helps bringing this service further.
However, instead of fixing actual problems, even after feedback (for instance concerning the fact that I can’t edit, only duplicate items, that I don’t see a tracking number on some “purchases” etc.), they seem to focus on adding unnecessary features and spamming you with several notifications about liked items and their uploaders you don’t follow (also no option for settings there at all).
The biggest issue I have had is that some, sadly not even a few, people, seem to upload items w/o any intend to ever send them out. I’ve had this experience with a bunch of items I requested. And as soon as the other party has confirmed, nuw doesn’t follow up on its own, only if they didn’t. I legit had to inquire with dire persistence to get refunded for items where the parties hadn’t sent out or even responded - and afterwards the items were in those people’s wardrobe again and they’re still active on the platform.
Several steps could make this better: not approving items that have ONLY stock photos for one. But, if customer service doesn’t even follow up on things and those actions don’t have consequences, it’s lost on me as well.
I currently even have another transaction open that looks like it might go that way.
I’m only staying because I’ve had a few nice transactions and I’m still holding hope. But I’m getting really annoyed too.
Ps: I don’t use my iCloud email-address for login, but a yahoo one.

very buggy
really cool concept but the app needs alot of work. after i buy an item i can see the sellers store anymore. and i have over 30$ in requests just not being accepted can’t cancel them either

I love the idea of giving clothes a second home, instead of sending them to the landfill! Super easy to figure out the app. I only gave if 4 stars because some sellers take a while to respond to your request, or never at all.
Would be a great app but…
All of the buttons stop working after you do one thing in the app. This is something that I would love to use but just can’t!

Their concept is simple. It’s similar to a clothing swap, but online. You give some, you take some.
It uses a coin system. Gold is for better brands, Silver is for run of the mill brands.
You must post items in order to accumulate coins.
Once you have coins, you can trade a coin for an item. Each item will cost you .99 plus shipping costs. It’s easy to ship items since you can your account to automatically produce a shipping label.
You deal directly with the seller vs. Nuw support. The only problem I have run into is a non-responsive seller, which happens on all of the clothing apps occasionally.
I have gotten some great items so far and spending less then I would my local consignment stores. 💯

love the concept but the app needs more work
I am a frequent thrifter/used purchaser. I use all the apps and so I was stoked when I saw this on tiktok. I absolutely love the idea of an online clothing exchange, but the app is not strong when it comes to searching for clothes. When you try to search for a size, the search shows random results. You can’t filter or sort anything, it’s just a search bar.
If it had capabilities for sorting and filtering it would be a GAME CHANGER.
Additionally, more info on coins would be nice. They just show up without explaining silver vs gold.

Buggy
The app concept is cool I got a lot of clothes lined up for it only for the app to barely be able to successfully upload a photo and kept bugging out when I went to add my address and wouldn’t let me proceed. Maybe with some tweaks this could be really cool. Sadly didn’t get to actually trade on the app due to this.

Good concept but needs work
I've requested 6 items at this point and every one has either had no response except the last one which was declined. I love the concept of this app but in its current state I'm not going to be spending any more time on it.

It’s so important to have an app like this! It makes fashion sustainability easy and fun. The app is easy to use and if you have a question or problem you get a quick response. I hope that more people start using this app to swap their clothes. :)

super misleading
their tiktok ads say each piece is 99 cents plus shipping, when really you have to put up your own items to get access to the items. then you STILL pay 99 cents and shipping. completely misleading and on purpose too :/
