Hello Nvidia, you know Free Membership I don’t like the Time Limit every time you play a game, on Xbox Cloud there’s no time limit, but I wish there’s no time limit on GeForce NOW

Basically useless
As a remote control, the lack of any tactile buttons makes this app painful to use, but the fact that it disconnects every minute or 2 is what really makes this infuriating to use. It used to include a handy “find my remote” feature that was great if you lost the remote control, but the devs brilliantly decided to remove that one thing that this app WAS good for. Now it’s just more useless junk on your phone stealing your data. Avoid this at all costs.

Faulty app or update
App works 40% of the time, the rest it will go back to the shields Home Screen after pressing the the screen on my phone and I have to then reset the shield by unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in! Rather annoying due to the shield being in a media cupboard that’s not easily accessible

I literally have to refresh the app every 30 seconds for it to not glitch out.

5 years and no update no wonder it not working properly, connects, opens apps and that’s it . Won’t move out on screen or do out on keyboard.

Volume control not working
It can mute but we cannot change the volume or unmute
Works great in 2026 after all the updates.
This has worked well with no issues. Sees all 3 devices and controls them with ease. After the latest updates to the shield itself and newer phone devices. This works perfect.

The app crashes every time I try to paste text (e.g., passwords, URLs, or IP addresses) into a text field using long-press → “Paste”.
Error: NoSuchMethodError: The getter ‘pasteButtonLabel’ was called on null.
Receiver: null
Tried calling: pasteButtonLabel
This happens on German iOS (probably all non-English languages), because the Flutter localization for the paste button label is missing/broken. It’s a known Flutter issue for years, but NVIDIA never fixed it in the SHIELD TV app

Glitches Out with Random Movements
I have to restart the app all the time. When I’m using it… it’ll randomly go up, down, left or right. This especially happens regularly in swipe mode; the one I use most often.
You would think an app coming from one of the most valuable stocks booming from AI. They would have plenty of resources to fix this junk. If it was open source I would just open an issue and it’d be fixed in days. Unfortunately this is not open source and we have to wait for the company to fix this junk app they clearly don’t care about. Just open source it, make a GitHub repo and we’ll fix the god dayum thing ourselves.

Keyboard doesn’t work
From the looks of it, it seems this app has been abandoned quite a while ago so I’m not surprised the Keyboard doesn’t connect when trying to type something. Nvidia too busy with their Graphics/AI ventures to care.

This app is hot garbage. It does, however, have a finder function. That’s pretty much all it’s good for.
Way too glitchy with movements getting stuck
The app was working fine for a while until suddenly it would get stuck on the right swipe and wouldn’t be able to stop it until I exit the app. This happened almost everytime I use the app

Opens/closes apps but tracking/scrolling doesn’t work. Seems pointless.
