See where your weather actually comes from The bottom of each city page now names the station reporting your current conditions and how far away it is — often further than you'd expect — along with the size of the forecast grid square your forecast describes. Tap Learn more for the full explanation, including links to that station's recent observations and to your forecast office. Three timestamps instead of one A failed refresh used to show the old forecast with no sign anything was wrong. A banner now says whether you're offline, the service is unavailable, or the data is simply getting old. Your forecast office by name Attribution now reads "Data provided by NWS Chicago, IL" rather than naming the service generically. FIXES • Severe weather alerts could be missed. With notifications turned on for more than four locations, cities past the fourth were never refreshed in the background, so their alerts never fired. Every enabled location is now covered. • Tapping a severe-weather notification hours later could present an expired warning as if it were still in effect. • My Location could briefly show the previous city's forecast after you travelled. • Precipitation read "0 in" when the amount was actually unavailable. It now reads "--". • Snow hours could draw nothing on the precipitation chart while the legend said "Snow", and the scrub readout repeated the rain figure labelled as snow. • Temperature badges on the map stayed frozen for the whole session, and scrubbing the timeline could flash blank frames. • The map could show two different data hours side by side across an hour boundary, and used more memory than it should during long pans. • A sunrise landing exactly on the hour could drop an hour from the hourly strip. • An unconfigured widget showed a blank state instead of your most recent forecast. • During a long outage, current conditions could keep being shown well past the point they should have expired. • The Air Quality card no longer stretches to fill space it doesn't need. • Close buttons in detail sheets now read correctly with VoiceOver.
