Didn’t launch
I read the negative reviews from a few years ago but thought perhaps the app had been fixed by now. Nope. I launched the app and a spinner displayed for literal minutes before I gave up.
Terrible
I’m a new student and need to use this for welcome week. It doesn’t open most of the time. Very disappointing.
Surprisingly unhelpful
Navigating this app is a challenge, and even if you find what you’re looking for, the information is thin. It’s only consistently useful function is the Covid screening that NYU requires so we can attend class.
Daily Screener not working again
Once again unable to access library or office due to malfunction of Daily Screener. Submitted email service request and received a robo-reply stating it may take up to three business days for them to get back to me
Multi-Billion Dollar University Makes Crappy Apps
You’d think that a multi billion dollar university that prides themselves on innovation and technology would be able to develop a simple functional app. Unfortunately, this app is a coin flip. You can either get it to open or it requires 5 minutes of loading time to just open with none of the functions working. On top of that NYU has decided to outsource their daily screening process to access the building to Qualtrics which the app was not designed for and many times it crashes leaving you to wait outside of your building in order to enter.

will not let me sign in
I literally cannot get past the sign in to verify with a call or duo mobile when trying to complete my daily screener. I have to do my daily screener on my laptop because of this.
Can't Login through IPad. Out of the blue!
Was working fine but all of a sudden I'm not able to login to my NYU account with my iPad. The screen gets stuck on the multi factor authentication page with no way to request for a duo push notifications. Been facing this for over a week now. The app works fine with my other devices.

NYU has implemented this app for covid screener access to building. 50% of the time I can’t load the screener page. Other times it says it has update despite having no updates on App Store. I left for my phone unlocked for over an 1 hour once and the loading wheel just kept spinning. Whenever I see”update” I just delete and reinstall the app repeatedly until it works. I’ve been using for 3 weeks and have twice not been able to get cleared because it said I didn’t have my vaccine card uploaded. This has been in NYU’s records since April.

endless login
Really sure why NYU decided to build an app that doesn’t have anything functionalities built in, when you click on something, the app opens up a website externally where you’ll have to login in your NYU credentials again..like my undergraduate capstone project was implemented better than this

Fails to load via cellular signal
I think it’s time you guys update the app, its been a year since it was last done. There seems to be an issue where if I’m not connected to my home WiFi or the University’s WiFi the app doesn’t seem to load. The app in my cellular data is turned on which makes me think there’s a bug issue with the cellular connection. If NYU plans on using this for the upcoming fall semester there’s no better time than now to get rid of the pesky bugs.

App doesn't work (6 months later app still does not work) Please fix this.
I am a long standing member of the faculty. It is now 6 months since I first tried to use this app on my iPhone 11. I have downloaded it dozens of times since my first review. It doesn't work! The app opens, but the screen is frozen, none of the links work. I have to use mobile site. Very time consuming.

Then I try to use it, but none of the links work. I have powered down, I have rebooted, I have downloaded the app dozens of times. It simply does not work. The screen is frozen. And I hear i am not the only one with this problem. Any suggestions?

lots of problems with the app, mfa page always redirects to a blank screen instead so I can’t set a push through duo. many other glitches in the interface.
Hard to be worse
Honestly, NYU should be embarrassed. Be prepared to not be able to login and if you’re over 40, get your readers. Sad.
Edit- instead of asking people I email you to discuss the problem, just do a thorough testing of the app. Even better, scrap it and start over. It doesn’t work!

Abominable shame for NYU
Does not even open. Just an NYU logo and a spinning wheel forever.
Not terrible but needs improvement
Not terrible overall. Interface isn’t needlessly cluttered. However largely defeats the point of having a separate mobile app since you need to login again every single time you open the app. Even more egregious is that you cannot download files that professors upload to NYU classes. I literally cannot open a pdf. This app is almost there but needs serious refinement. NYU is the most expensive and well funded universities in the US if not the world, they can make a goddamn web app properly.

Too many bugs
I’ve been using the app for Welcome week. When I click on one event I can see the information fine. But when I click a different event, I see the information for what I previously clicked on instead of the one I’m currently trying to see. It’s frustrating. Also the app crashes every once in awhile.
Supposed to work
The app is supposed to work since NYU is promoting it, but it’s now currently crashing!
Really pleased with this mobile app
Update: NYU updated the app (or probably the back end since there was no actual app update) since my update and it works wonderfully. That was a really fast turnaround time. Thank you!
Not user friendly
Keeps crashing and resetting to the first date. You also always need to log in with your details. Slow and not user friendly.
