Still Amazing
Can’t believe this app is still going strong. I keep coming back to it because it’s far superior to many other games out there. Would be great if it could be upgraded to full screen, but I’ll keep playing it regardless!
A great zombie game
It was absolutely worth the price. It has a great story mode with a great story. The level design is brilliant and the old graphics add a very eerie tone that makes this game scarier than most zombie games on the App Store nowadays. There is a lot of weapons and power ups that offer help in the hard levels. There is a lot of zombie types that add a lot of variety to the game.

Charming to play in 2025
I remember playing this game so many years ago as a kid. Even as an adult now, it’s still actually kinda scary. The fact that you can’t move and have so many zombies closing in on you is a pretty anxiety inducing set up. The graphics being so low res makes it feel unsettling too, there’s something weirdly creepy about seeing distorted faces approaching you. Every game in 2025 feels like it’s meant to be overly flashy and attention grabbing so that you spend money on it; this game is a refreshing look into the past when games focused more on actually being scary, and they weren’t trying to milk you out of every dollar you can give. It’s worth spending the 99 cents to play this just for the vibes

All time favourite
This game is always my go-to on flights and long car rides. It has a great story and is still pretty challenging, even after playing it all these years. I hope this makes a come back and gains the recognition it has always deserved. Best zombie game in the app store, by far!

I remember playing this when I was a kid, now I’m beating it and it’s really cool to know the rest of the story I never got to see! I think may be almost through the story, I wish I could play the second one two.

One of my favorite iOS games ever!!! With a really good storyline too. Still… after about 15 years this game holds up extremely well. No ads no micro transactions… just gaming.

Not sure if they changed but when I used to play on the iPad you used to be able to move around I don’t like wing stuck in one place

Nostalgic
Played this a while back. And i mean when it dropped… my brothers and i shared an Ipod at the time. We found it cus we weren’t allowed to play COD. So we played secretly on the ipod. Man… to be back in those times..

I always come back to this game every couple years and I remember playing this when it was first released back when I was in high school, great story and the gameplay is so nostalgic, I love that you guys keep it updated so it works on newer versions, this is one of the only games that I played back in the day that kept software up to date and I can still play, thanks!

Please, make it playable. This shouldn’t be the only one able to be played, the other one isn’t able to be found (without pulling off App Store glitches, and even then it won’t download). Great amazing game, will rate 5 stars easily if updated

I would have rated 5 stars. I love this game, I’ve been playing for YEARS. But NYZ 2 is better. For some reason there is no update to play NYZ 2 on current gen phones.

Complaints about this game
I noticed many people are not happy how you can’t move and the graphics. To be honest, I thought that’s what made the game unique. Being stuck in one spot while zombies approach you, plus with the soundtrack, makes it more tense and creepy. It also gives a bit of a challenge. Now the graphics could’ve done better, but it was 2010 when it released and graphics weren’t super amazing and the standards were not as high as they are today, but for me at least, it gives a nostalgic feeling. This was just my opinion on the complaints people had and overall I thought this game was amazing, fun, and like no usual zombie shooter.
