Its catalogue is not yet complete but I have found most items there.

Amazing tool
I use this app every time I grocery shop. It is so easy to submit items that arent listed as well. I appreciate the break down on ownership, production/manufacturing location and number of Canadian employees.

Scanning for Canada
This app offers information in regards to where the product is made if this product uses material from other countries and the origins of the main company. It also offers other options for Canadian products. Easy to use easy to read.

Love this app. So far everything I’ve seen has been quite accurate. Needs more publicity as Eastern Canadians I know weren’t aware of this app. They are now!!

Easy to scan and enter a new product
Shopping is so much easier!
I don’t have to read the fine print on the label, it gets me past any signage errors. I am able to shop Canadian easily.

Great app for shopping
When this app first came out, it had a lot of bar codes that wouldn’t come up but you can let them know and they add them. Now many months later, most of the codes work. It gives you a quick guide when shopping how Canadian a product is.

Why has the ownership of Canadian newspapers change so much in 30 days…?
I like the idea but you say buy Canadian but you have Chinese Ads??.
I see a change in the Ads so thanks for being so attentive, I use your app to review all Canadian inquiries even newspaper ownership. I do not use the scanner much.
The information about ownership of Canadian companies has change dramatically I took two screenshots from Apr to May and they have been changed to hide ownership.
At the end of the day I would NOT recommend this app if you want in depth background on Companies. As a scan app for a can of peas maybe but if you are looking for back ground information on foreign ownership go to Wikipedia.

I checked out some similar apps when all of this craziness started, but found O SCANada to be more thorough than all of them. Great support too!👍
Update - barcode scanner works.
I had a brief hiccup where the scanner didn’t work, and then I completely overreacted and left a 1 star. I have since got everything working, and have been really impressed with the level of detail they provide. My apologies to the team, I should have been more patient. Keep up the good work.
