I love the zoo, but this map is outdated
The app, and the map still include animals that the Oakland zoo no longer displays. I think there should be more updates to this app, since the zoo is always changing

It would be nice if tickets could be purchased through the app or if members can register an existing account. It’s a real hassle trying to make reservations online.
Paper Tickets
Why can’t you have your tickets on your smart device? Most folks don’t have access to a printer at home and really against company policy to use office equipment for personal use. In a pandemic culture we need contactless tickets. If you can’t have the tickets on the app have e-tickets delivered via email.

I don’t need this ap for the Oakland Zoo. I can find out about animals anywhere. Your ap should have information on YOUR animals specifically. Their information: their names, age, where they came from, are they in a breeding program, cute anecdotes, why they came to the Oakland Zoo, is their species endangered or threatened.
PS. Bathroom locations are on the map and I found that quite easily 😘

I’m wild about this app
Well-designed, helpful, and easy to use, with great info about the animals and visiting the Zoo. I used it while exploring the Zoo, and to read even more about the animals and conservation projects after my visit.
Surprised new gondola not added yet
So, to great fanfare in June, the Oakland Zoo began operating a fabulous gondola which provided riders great views of the SF Bay Area. It's now August and the gondola is still not added to the map of the zoo. For such a large investment that received so much publicity, to not also make the effort to update this app with the new feature seems lazy and decreases its usefulness. Hope this gap is addressed at least when California Trails opens in 2018!

So far I have been unable to access most of the features on the app. Far as I'm concerned this app is worthless. I'm uninstalling it.

Could be great
Bathrooms must be on this map. Critical detail overlooked. Additionally I would love to be able to have my membership number or qr code or something in the app for easy access.
Where's the bathrooms?
The app is great for exhibits but for a parent with kids who have to pee, you can't search for a restroom in a pinch. We searched men's room, bathroom, Restroom. Nothing. Not under guest services or in any other tab. We found one. But it's a pretty big hole in the app.
