UPDATE - I Feel Ripped Off!

Subject: Follow-Up: Refund Promised on August 19

On August 19, I was contacted by Cormac from Oasis Team, who apologized for the way I had been treated and informed me that my money would be refunded. I was asked to provide my preferred method of payment, which I did.

Since then, I have received no further communication and no refund.

I expect Oasis to honor the commitment that was made to me. If you tell a customer that you are issuing a refund and ask them how they would like to receive it, then follow through.

Please confirm immediately that my refund is being processed, the amount being refunded, and when I can expect to receive it.

I would appreciate this being resolved without any further delays.

I was charged Annual Subscription prior to FREE Trial Ending! Sent in Circles afterward!

I signed up for the free trial believing I had until the cancellation date to decide whether I wanted to continue. Instead, I was charged approximately $47 for an annual subscription, which came as a surprise.

What frustrated me most was trying to get help afterward. Oasis told me that because the subscription was purchased through Apple, they could not issue a refund and that billing matters are handled by Apple. However, when I contacted Apple, I was told they could not provide a refund because it involved a third-party app. As a customer, I was left stuck in the middle with no resolution.

Whether the billing terms were disclosed somewhere in the fine print or not, the process was not clear to me when I signed up. Had I understood exactly when the annual charge would occur, I would not have enrolled in the free trial.

I genuinely feel ripped off and disappointed by the experience. More transparency around billing and refund responsibility would help prevent customers from finding themselves in the same situation.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this app.

Response from developer

Hi Roseanna apologies for your experience being thrown between support teams. Apple handles all billing for App Store purchases and charges annual plans up to 24 hours before trial end, which is why it hit early. Apple's support guidance likewise tells users to cancel trials more than 24 hours before the renewal date or the subscription may renew. I have personally replied to your support ticket with other options to help find a good resolution here.

Doesn’t have anything in Canada, wasted 65 bucks

Started the 3 day trial and it took 65 bucks from me instantly, no refunds and scammed me, don’t even have items to scan in Canada and it’s all ai not trustworthy

Oasis

A better app bc it shows you ingredients, chemicals compounds,…. And what are the better choices to make to be in your best health

Horrible

Was billed immediately upon downloading the app even though it said 3-day free trail. Avoid at all cost, scammers

There’s literally no one else doing it like them

We really have to understand what we’re intake and putting on and in our body. And luckily it starts with these guys.

Inaccurate information

The data on this app is continuously, incorrect and proven by other sources. Refuse to issue refund, even after publicly advertising that they would give refunds to those who requested.

Sad. Everything is paywall’d now.

Sadly they are as greedy as everyone else. Otherwise good app, before the paywall. Don’t update!

Good idea but disappointing implementation

I paid for a year and for months almost every product I try to scan appears to be in review. At the end of the day I could not what I paid for because of that.

Scam

Money grab! There are a few 100% free apps that do the same thing this app does

Fake ratings

The ratings on this app are garbage. I will look up something from a small company with maybe 4 ingredients and they give them a minimal rating. While they rate things from giant corporations with trash ingredients well. It will even have a laundry list of harmful ingredients listed but show a rating in the green. Must be a pay for rating type of app.

US-centric money grab

Tap water data is not available for display in the app outside of the US despite most municipalities posting this data openly online. I don’t know why it’s marketed outside US.

Health

Great for knowing how efficient and healthy a product/food is good for the body

Limited information and unresponsive customer support

I pushed the button to get a free trial and was charged for one year that same day. I was looking for the amount of microplastic in common delivery water services which they promote on social media they test for but it s not available via app. Overall the database of available analyzed products is very limited. I reached out to customer support - it s been over a week and I havent heard back. I dont recommend this app.

Scam

Paid

Don’t buy if you can pay monthly subs

Can’t even use with out a sub

Misleading

Lots of social media ads for promoting “free lab test results” but in actuality the first 3 days are free then requires an annual subscription. Could be more clear about pricing up front.

So annoying to use

Have to go to “for you” page to find categories. Can’t search on this page. Which means if you’re looking for something specific like magnesium you’ve gotta click into supplements and then figure out what sub category it belongs to. Then don’t even talk to me about the search. If you know the product or brand and click into a product if you back out it clears your search and you have to start from scratch

Straight up money grab

I love the fact that I logged into your app after having it for a couple months and noticing your water filters are all blocked for the eyes can see except for two I guess it’s time to uninstall delete I remember the days apps used to be free and now it’s just greed

Free trial charged me for a full year

Signed up for the advertised three-day free trial of Oasis Pro on July 24. Cancelled the same day, hours after signing up. Was still billed $61.95 for a full annual subscription.

My subscription page now shows “You’ve cancelled your subscription” and a paid term running to July 2027 at the same time. So the annual charge went through before the trial was ever honoured.

The payment declined because my account was empty, which then locked me out of App Store downloads until I paid for a product I cancelled on day one and never opened. Currently waiting on a refund decision from Apple.
Check exactly what you’re agreeing to before you tap confirm on the trial. One star until this is made right.
