About
Oathcard is not a government app. It does not represent, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by, USCIS, the U.S. government or any government agency. It is an independent study aid made by 8086 LLC. Every question, answer and officeholder in it comes from the official government sources listed under SOURCES below.
Study for the civics part of your U.S. naturalization interview with the 2025 civics test: the 128 questions and answers USCIS published in M-1778 (09/25). Everything works offline, with no account and no microphone.
WHICH TEST
The 2025 civics test is for anyone who filed Form N-400 on or after October 20, 2025. If you filed before that date, you take the 2008 test (100 questions), which Oathcard does not cover.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
• The 2025 civics test: all 128 questions with their listed answers, checked against the USCIS PDF
• The 20 starred questions for applicants who are 65 or older and have been permanent residents for 20 years (USCIS's 65/20 special consideration)
• Practice interviews: free, the 65/20 format (10 starred questions, 6 to pass); with the unlock, the standard format (20 questions, 12 to pass)
• Your score, and the questions you missed to review as flashcards
• All 50 states and the 5 territories: capital and governor, plus each state's two U.S. senators. For D.C. and the territories, which have no senators (and D.C. no governor or capital), the app gives USCIS's own answer
• The President, Vice President, Speaker of the House and Chief Justice by name, each dated and sourced
• Your U.S. representative: find yours on house.gov by ZIP code and save the name in the app
DATED OFFICIALS
Officeholders change. Every officeholder carries the date it was last read from the official sources below (your state's: in the state picker and Settings). Pick your state once and the quiz answers the senator, governor and capital questions for it.
NO MICROPHONE OR SPEECH
You read each question, reveal the answer, and mark yourself right or wrong. Nothing in the app asks you to speak, so it works for Deaf and hard-of-hearing applicants, in a library, or on a train.
FREE, THEN ONE $5.99 UNLOCK
Free: the 20 starred questions as flashcards and the 10-question 65/20 practice interview. One $5.99 purchase unlocks all 128 questions and the 20-question practice interview, for good. No subscription. Restore it on a new phone at any time.
PRIVATE AND OFFLINE
No account, no ads, no tracking, no data collected. Your chosen state, your representative's name and your unlock stay on your phone.
