About
Obi-Yomi is a quiet, lightweight calendar for viewing your family's and your own plans side by side, like a single band of time.
It is not a do-everything power tool. Its focus is simple: bring plans in, share them, and glance at them.
■ Easy to import
Each family member just pastes the shareable address (.ics) of the calendar they already use. Apple Calendar or Google Calendar — paste the URL and their plans line up on the band. No need to retype anything.
■ Import from handwriting, photos, and text (supported devices)
Photograph a paper handout or note, paste some text, or write by hand on iPad to create event drafts (automatically on devices with on-device AI; on others you enter them while looking at the recognized text). You always confirm before saving.
■ Switch views lightly
• Month (zoom in for a weekly timetable, out for two months)
• Timeline (two weeks to two years; sort by person or task — like a Gantt chart for long-term planning)
• Day view (overlapping events split into side-by-side columns)
See the same plans at the level of detail you want.
■ The same board with family
Share the same band with just a code and password. No account required.
■ Availability mode
Offer "are you free this Saturday?" with marks right on the schedule. Days when everyone is free turn gold.
■ And more
• Tap the schedule to add and edit events
• Search across all spaces
• Export the schedule (PDF / image / HTML) — to send to friends not on iPhone, to print, and so on
• Switch themes to match your mood, from washi paper to Impressionist palettes
Obi-Yomi is a tool to easily bring in all sorts of information and view your personal and shared plans at a glance.
Note: .ics sync can lag minutes to hours (use it for an overview). AI drafting from handwriting/photos/text runs automatically only on devices that support on-device AI.
