What's New in Obsidian Adviser

1.0.31

August 6, 2026

Features • Legal persons (companies, trusts, and other entity types) are now visible to every firm in the client list, with type filtering to switch between people and organisations • Assign a managing adviser when creating or editing a trust or company — the new adviser picker lets you hand ownership to a colleague straight from the form • Activity feed on trusts and companies now shows real activity history (tasks, documents, notes) instead of an empty state Fixes • Accepting a task suggested by the AI assistant now works reliably, even when the suggestion is no longer the most recent message • AI conversations last longer before reaching the context limit • When a chat reaches its limit, you now see a clear "Conversation too long" message with guidance to start a new chat • Uploading files that are too large now shows a specific "Files too large" error instead of "Something went wrong" • Failed AI tool calls now correctly appear as errors instead of showing a green success indicator • When the assistant temporarily cannot reach your data, the error explains what happened and suggests retrying • Data now refreshes automatically after the assistant creates or updates something (e.g. a task, meeting, or client record) • Meeting recordings on Android no longer require notification permission to start. If notifications are off, you'll see a one-time prompt to enable them for background controls • Recording uploads now recover automatically if the app is suspended in the background mid-upload • Meeting transcripts refresh in real time while being generated, so you no longer need to leave and come back to check • The "Recently added" quick filter on the task list now returns results correctly • Task status and priority changes apply instantly, rolling back automatically if something goes wrong
