Thank you for the honest feedback. We agreed that the original free limits were too restrictive. New users can now create up to 10 characters during their starter month, followed by 3 additional characters each month, and characters already created are always kept. The free plan now also supports 2 worlds, with multiple stories and chapters, plus optional rewarded ads for additional character creations. We hope these changes make Ocie much more useful without requiring an upgrade.

Tbh I’m incredibly heart broken because I input a lot of info into this app and now it’s just gone lol. Not mad really, just sad. Idk if there is anything that can be done to get it back but if there is I’d appreciate it. Idk how to resign in because there is nothing in settings about it. I’m going to go and try write everything down before I forget it all.

We’re deeply sorry, losing work you spent so much time creating is heartbreaking. We’ve added safeguards that prevent Ocie from silently replacing a store when it encounters a loading or iCloud problem. Ocie now detects unexpectedly empty data, stops before making changes, and presents recovery options. It also keeps up to five automatic daily recovery snapshots on the device. Please don’t delete or reinstall the app, as that may remove recoverable local data. Update Ocie and check the Data Management and recovery screens. If possible, contact us at ocie@dreamscapecrafters.com so we can help investigate.

Thank you, and we’re sorry syncing caused trouble. Cross-device iCloud syncing has been improved, with clearer upload/download status and automatic notification handling. Please update Ocie on both devices, sign into the same iCloud account, enable iCloud Drive, and leave the app open briefly for the first synchronization.
Share link is broken

Thank you for reporting this. Character sharing has been rebuilt around Apple’s native iCloud sharing system, including proper invitation links and in-app share acceptance. Please update Ocie before creating a new share link, as links created by older versions may no longer work correctly. Both sender and recipient should be signed into iCloud, and the recipient will need the latest version of Ocie installed.
