Recommend to use the Google Gemini Pro 3 model to recognize text in images
Unable to recognize the Chinese characters in the image, often missing many words, especially handwritten text which cannot be recognized at all. It is recommended to use the Google Gemini Pro 3 model to recognize text in images.
Not accurate needs a lot of improvement
I tried scanning documents , tried using pictures all of them were not accurate picks some works and missed a lot more. Uses characters not even on the document.
I may use later if improved but the time being it’s just a fun toy not a real program

This app does what it says on the tin. It seems to be a capable little OCR tool.

Just got it. So far practicing capturing text on TV. It’s showing a lot of promise. This certainly helps my note taking.

the app looks promising, nice features like Live scan … but… the results are not impressive. Landscape scan not working at all. Be reminded: Phones are used in portait and landscape mode. Even today the app was given for free (Lifetime) I don’t see it as a useful tool at the moment. Deleted

Here I was, expecting to be totally blown away by this app. Well, I was blown away, but not in a good way.
I had taken a picture of a small 4“ x 2“ article in a magazine. Loaded it into this app. While it did catch some of the words, it by no means grabbed all the text from the article. Luckily, I have an iPhone, and it has the scan to text feature built-in. I used that, and it copied all of the text with absolutely no flaws at all.

Partial Capture
I tried using the app on very clean text from a book with very readable text. It captured text, but left out words in a sentence and often had trouble recognizing individual letters. I gave it 2 stars for effort; however it needs a lot of work before you ask for any money. Most smartphones will do a better job of capturing and recognizing text.
Please don’t give up. You have the beginnings of what could be a very useful app.
