Good app
Good app import settings work well. App crashes when entering export half hourly settings.
Not usable
I’m using octopus energy go and cannot integrate myenergi zappi, tesla powerwall and my panels im having massive issues with the normal octopus app as well so im going to delete this one. Shame couldnt get it to work.
Nonfunctional
Sign-in only works half the time. “Session expires” after about 5 seconds and logs me out. Unusable.
Does not work
I am a customer and have their Account app. Yet labs app claims user does not exist when I try to log in.

App doesn’t work
Created account - linked my account - can’t log in - can’t link - doesn’t recognise anything - says I have no smart meter (I do) doesn’t work with Apple password generator- just rubbish - they should take it off line really
Failed at the start
Couldn’t even create an account, no onscreen keyboard when I wanted to type in password. Using ios18 on iPad Air. Perhaps because I already have Octopus account.

Doesn’t work
Installed got all the numbers they asked for then the program just stuck on the signing in page so I’ve deleted. Not worth trying.
A very positive step towards a solution
Having a panel and battery combo installed I expected either the supplier or manufacturer to enable me to automate best use of the Agile tariff. Sadly, neither have done so.
This app, which is a beta product, is 90% there and I love it.

Does not work
Downloaded todays update (25th October) and expected it to work but nope. The main screen loads and nothing is clickable, pressable. It appears frozen completely. The home icon doesn’t work, the menu icon does nothing. The three dots in the circle do nothing. Has this been tested at all?
Very short list of compatible manufacturers
I downloaded the app, logged in with my existing Octopus account and went to add a device. There are 12 manufacturers included. Unfortunately I don’t use any of them. App deleted. End of experiment.
With such a short list of manufacturers they could be listed in the app description to help avoid speculative downloads such as mine.

Stuck on opening screen
I downloaded this app onto my iPhone & iPad as I thought it would be interesting to try & test new things out, which I like doing (I have the TestPilot app and have tested a few apps before their full release). But this app just gets stuck on the opening Octopus logo screen and goes no further.
It’s a shame because the main Octopus app is good and even has basic V2G scheduling controls.

Badly executed and confusin
Account set up is a nightmare on iPhone as the string password keeps over riding the password you enter.
Once successfully set up I connected my account perfectly simply but don’t really understand the apps use.
I can’t seem to connect my solar panels to it and it’s appears to be just a useless load of info.
Shame as the main Octopus app is extremely good

Doesn’t open
It worked the first time but ever since I get stuck on the loading screen. Tried rebooting phone and even removed the app but no luck.
Does Not Work
This app worked once - just long enough for data input. Next time I opened it all I got was the app logo. This happened on all of my devices. The Octopus App has so little info for solar feed in, I thought this app would help, but it does absolutely nothing at all. Don’t even bother installing.
Previously Incomprehensible and Not User-Friendly Now Doesn’t Work at All
This app has never been the easiest to navigate or understand, it now seems to have exceeded that depth by refusing to do anything at all other than display a pink, confused looking octopus holding a power drill, a screwdriver and a spanner🤨. Thoroughly hopeless😂
Issues with creating an account
It looks like there’s a nasty interaction between the password strength validation routine in the app and the Apple iOS password auto fill routine when signing up for an account. iOS (16.3.1 at least) with “auto fill password” turned on in the settings tries to generate a strong password, but the app’s password validation routine doesn’t accept dashes as “special characters” which then rejects the password generated. Trying to enter a password manually works for the first password field, but when you click on the “confirm password” field iOS tries to generate a strong password again, wiping the first password entry out. Looks like the only workaround is to disable auto fill (Settings->Passwords->Password options- disable “Autofill passwords”) whilst you sign up.
Now the next issue is that having entered my API key the app seems to get stuck on the splash screen, even if you restart it! (Update: I must have killed the app when it was initialising the first time which broke it in some way - a quick uninstall and reinstall seems to have cured that and now it’s working)

Can’t login or register
Doesn’t accept my Octopus account credentials and if you try and register, you can’t create a password as it keeps erasing it when you then go to the next ‘confirm password’ field. This app would benefit from having a QA check before it’s published.

doesn’t accept my userid and password from the main account. Tried to register for new account but the app doesn’t accept an iOS “strong password” but if you create your own password it gets overwritten when you tab to confirm it….frustrating…. Has this app been tested?
No dashboard
I am on the Octopus Go tariff and have a GivEnergy solar battery system installed. I thought this app might be a useful integration of both system. But no. I do not get a dashboard screen at all. I also tried the iPad version on an iPad mini and that crashes every time I try to use. Poor execution Octopus. In “management speak” It does not meet”. Very disappointed.

Only as good as the data
As our ‘smart’ meter isn’t correctly getting the data from the gas meter the data it displays is totally screwed and wrong!
