Octoshield: Safe Photo Vault

Your private photos deserve more than a hidden album. Keep photos, videos, and files encrypted with Octoshield. Choose seven lock styles, create hidden vaults, capture photos with the vault camera, and clean your library with a swipe. Your vault works entirely offline. No Octoshield account or ads. ON-DEVICE ENCRYPTION • AES-256-GCM encrypts files in 512 KB authenticated chunks. • HKDF-SHA256 derives per-item keys from a random 256-bit master key. • Thumbnails and the vault index are encrypted on disk. • PBKDF2-SHA256 strengthens your secret, combined with a device-specific Keychain key for local access. 7 LOCK STYLES & RECOVERY Choose PIN Code (4 or 6 digits), Passphrase, Pattern Grid, Combination Dial, Constellation, Cryptex, or Sigil Ring. Add Face ID, Touch ID, or Optic ID where supported. Generate a private 9-word recovery phrase to reset a forgotten secret. Keep it safe: Octoshield cannot reset access if you lose both your secret and recovery phrase. OFFLINE BY DEFAULT. OPTIONAL ENCRYPTED ICLOUD. Your files stay encrypted on your device unless you choose encrypted iCloud backup, sync, or sharing. These optional cloud features require an internet connection. • Backup is optional, off by default, and enabled separately for each vault. • Encrypted files are stored in your private iCloud database. The vault key is protected by a key derived from your recovery phrase. • Restore a backed-up vault on another iPhone or iPad with its recovery phrase. • Pro adds end-to-end encrypted sync between devices while the vault is open. Local vault files remain excluded from ordinary iCloud device and computer backups. A recovery phrase cannot restore missing files without a usable backup or export. HIDDEN VAULTS & DURESS PROTECTION • Separate secrets open separate hidden vaults; one vault does not list the others. • An optional duress secret opens a decoy and deletes other vaults on that device. Their iCloud backups and copies on other devices remain. • Retry throttling starts after 5 wrong attempts, scaling up to a 1-hour lockout. An optional setting erases the vault after 10 failed attempts. SWIPE CLEANER, CAMERA & IMPORT • Swipe left to queue deletion, right to keep, or up to import into your vault. Review and confirm Photos deletions. • Import photos and videos, then choose whether to remove originals. Optimized Import can strip photo GPS metadata. • Take photos inside the vault without adding them to your camera roll. • Send files through the iOS Share Sheet. The inbox encrypts them immediately and imports them into your vault on your next unlock. PRIVATE SHARING & ORGANIZATION • Pro lets you share selected items read-only with a private 9-word share phrase, expiry options, and open limits applied by the recipient's app. Recipients may keep exported copies. • Organize with folders, favorites, and Photos / Videos / Files filters. • Add widgets for vault status and quick access to the vault, camera, import, and cleaner. DISGUISE & PRIVACY CONTROLS Choose Calculator, Converter, Level, Torch, Memo, or Weather icons; the Home Screen label remains Octoshield. Use blurred previews, app-switcher hiding, and screen-recording/AirPlay blanking. Screenshot warnings notify you after capture; iOS screenshots cannot be blocked. Pro includes additional open-and-seal animations. FREE & OCTOSHIELD PRO Store up to 10 items free with full encryption. Pro unlocks unlimited vault items within available storage, Cleaner, hidden vaults, disguise icons, encrypted sync, sharing, and additional animations.
