Amazingggg

I’ve downloaded the game several times. I love reading the stories and the character development is so good. It starts slow but trust it’s worth it!!

As close to perfect as you can get I think

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because is because 5 stars means like literally perfect, which it wasn’t.
IT WAS VERY CLOSE, but there were some spelling mistakes, the ads got in the was sometimes at the bottom of the screen (and I have pretty slim fingers), and once you have like three or so bubbles you have to get for a character it becomes VERY slow. I think I must have had characters come dozens of times and they didn’t say anything new to me.

I guess however, you could see this as positives. “It exudes patience in every way, including how long you have to wait for something to happen.” Y’know?

All in all, great game though:) I love almost all of Gagex’s games.

P.S. I hope I didn’t scare anyone away with a long comment:)

One gripe

Great game, amazing story telling. As usual for them amazing story telling. Less to do than Hungry Hearts Diner series. Only problem is the banner ad at the bottom covers the bottom half of the bottom icons. Still playable but extremely annoying.

Nice girl's last gripe isn't showing up!

Is this a bug?

I love ALL the games but have 1 issue

All of these characters are so wonderful and it’s so clever how all of their stories come together to create a whole narrative I do have one gripe that is more about game play than the actual game - I wish there was a way to see how many bubbles you needed to click until you reach a new gripe. While I love the story and want to play the whole way through,I lose interest if I keep getting 200 old bubbles before I get a newer one that I need 50+of to unlock a new gripe.
That speed is the only issue I have. Still 5 stars.

Game is ruined by ads.

Beautiful soundtrack, and nice atmosphere as with the other games by this developer. I love their games but this one is legit ruined by the bottom ad that can be closed and it partially blocks all the other buttons in the game.

The “recommendations” is also just more ads. I’d rather just pay to play without ads or at least move the ads in a way they are blocking the screen.

Beautiful game, but one flaw...

I love games by Gagex, particularly the cozy ones dealing with food. The art is lovely, as are the descriptions of the food (so much life and culture can be expressed through food!), and, most importantly, the characters are interesting, making the story interesting. However, my single issue with this particular game is that it really slows down as you draw towards the end. Of course, this might be entirely due to user error, but I’m playing this solely as an idle game and not putting effort into thinking about puzzle-solving. These games are cozy to me and easy and quick to check on; I don’t really like feeling as if I have a task to do, feel me?

Came back for more

I originally had played this game almost three years back, and came back for a second round. It’s still the same as I remember, with relatable characters and believable stories. There are a variety of different perspectives and it’s nice to see the slow (but not achingly so) progression of each characters’ stories. Makes you think about the other person. This is incredibly charming to me, although that might be in part because of my familiarity with the Japanese culture, so know that going forward. For anyone that’s looking for more, there’s a sequel to this game! Also fun.

Great!

I enjoyed it very much. I liked characters and story. And of course, Oden. I ended up going to Asian grocery store to get Oden set to make Oden for dinner.
By the way, where is Oden Cart 3 in English language?
Please hurry.

Awesome game

I've played this and the second one several times. I love everything about it, I find it very relaxing. I do wonder when they will translate the third game into English though!

Great storytelling!

Wow. What a unique & compelling game! I was captivated by the storytelling and relatable characters. The gameplay is very different from other games I’ve played in the past, but once I was able to get into the rhythm of the slower (more casual?) pace, I really enjoyed it & wanted to uncover the full story. Now that it’s over, I wish I could experience it all over again.

Like other reviewers, I was having a tough time finishing the Nice Girl & Grumpy Man’s storyline. It was frustrating to figure out, and unfortunately I relied on some spoilers to get the Grumpy Man’s ending. I will say for future players that the key to progressing is to finish the storylines for the last three characters first, and then return to the others.

Overall, I’m so glad I discovered this game, and I’m also playing other games from Gagex at this time, too! Thank you.

Nice Girl: A Gut-Wrenching Tale

I don’t know what is up with this girl, but she REFUSES to change! Like, all I need is a single gripe from her and bam, she’s done. But for the past three days all she ever says is “Nice Oden!” Okay den, WHAT ELSE!?

I have literally finished EVERYONE else but her and STILL she won’t say it! What do I gotta do to get ya to talk!? She’s driving me mad!

I even just stocked EGGS to the point only SHE shows up, and even then, she still won’t say it!

I’m this close to flipping my cart over and pouring a bottle of booze over your head!

WHY WON’T YOU JUST ALREADY SAY IT!!!

Besides that, fun relaxing game.

Unplayable

More broken ads, game crashes, waste of time.

Shame. I really loved “summer memories” so I’m trying to play through the rest of their catalog but most of the titles are unplayable. Ads pop up intrusively, they fail to load leaving the game stuck. You’re only option is to throw it out of memory and relaunch but you have to do this every third action or so... and that’s only if it hasn’t crashed.

This one is a nonstarter.

Ads :c

I’d love to play this game but as soon as I get to the gameplay a large banner ad completely covers the bottom bar that allows you to stock the cart/view customers etc. I usually don’t mind ads at all but this one is getting in the way of the gameplay.

Ad bar

The ad bar hides half the menu and makes it difficult to click, also makes you wonder what content you might be missing and it seems like 1/4 of a game.
You click bubbles and read complaints about life.
No development seems to happen nothing seems to unlock no legitimate progress in any form other than having unlocked the max amount of complaints to read. How is this even considered a game

Ads - covers game menu

It’s a little pointless and really annoying to design a game with ads: which COVER the menu options.

It really looks like a monetisation option slapped on top without any thought.

<3

I never read descriptions much, so I went into this game thinking that the customers were just random citizens with some emotional baggage.

Well, that part was true, but I also didn’t expect a connected story between some of them! It was a pleasant surprise, and I’m glad I went into the game blind. <3

Different and fantastic

Really enjoyed getting to know all the characters’ back stories. Some were funny, others very dark. Can’t wait to play your next Oden game 😊.

Beautiful Story

This is probably my third time playing this game, because I enjoy the story so much. I can still remember my first time playing it. It gave me so many emotions, from anger, to sadness, to hope. Oden Cart is a pretty simple game, but the story is so wonderful. I’m pretty sure it made me cry the first time I played it! I was so invested in the characters and what was happening to them, that I checked the game often. I didn’t expect to become so attached, and the fact that I did tells me this is a well written game. c:
