What's New in Odo Speedometer

4.4.0

October 30, 2026

Made for iPhone Duo • The speedometer grows to fill the bigger screen, in portrait and landscape. • Trip playback and the welcome screens fit any window size, so nothing gets cut off. Odo on Apple Watch • Start, pause, resume and end trips from your wrist. • Ask Siri on your watch to start, pause, resume or stop a trip. • On watchOS 26, add Odo to Control Center or the Action button to open trip controls in one press. Live Activity • The Lock Screen card now shows the vehicle you're driving, with its name and icon. • Trips longer than an hour show seconds too, like 1:05:42. • Switching vehicles during a trip now applies to that trip. Trip Details • Share the whole trip page as one tall image: tap Share, then Full Screenshot. • Stops at your saved places now show the place's name and icon. • Tap Save Place on any unnamed stop to save it in one step. Fuel • New km/gal economy unit for places that sell fuel by the US gallon. Pick it per vehicle under Economy Unit. • When you log a past fill-up, the odometer is filled in for that date based on your trips. Improvements • Coordinates can now be shown in MGRS, the grid format used for land navigation and search and rescue. Pick it under Coordinate Format. • Neo Digital and Running gauges now follow your dial scale, so their bars show real progress. • Choosing None in the tag picker now clears the tag. • Better OBD connections for older cars that use K-line. Very impressive

A friend of mine showed me this app when we were on the plane, not sure why it was working while we were flying at 38,000 feet and travelling at 580 mph.
That was the information coming from this app at the time I was very impressed by why it was working and there was no signal whatsoever coming from any phone service providers at all.
I will be upgrading this to the premium version of this app as it as so many other features to use. Well done guys for this wonderful project and keep up the good work.
P.S can you tell me why this app worked while we were flying I’d love to know.

Response from developer

Thanks so much for the kind words! Odo gets your speed and altitude from your phone's built-in GPS, which listens directly to satellites orbiting the Earth. It doesn't need any mobile signal or Wi-Fi, so it keeps working in airplane mode, at sea or out in the countryside. Planes can block some of the signal, so a window seat usually gives the best reading. Maps and place names do need a data connection, but your speed, altitude, and trip recording all work offline. Safe travels! Many more features will come soon!

The Best Driving App I Have Ever Used

Honestly, Odo is everything I have been looking for in a driving app. It brings together an incredible range of features in one place, including highly accurate GPS location tracking, speed monitoring, detailed trip history, route replay, driving statistics, fuel tracking, and vehicle maintenance.

What impresses me the most is the GPS accuracy and location tracking. The recorded routes and trip details are excellent, making it a fantastic companion for everyday driving and long journeys alike.

The app is feature rich without feeling unnecessarily complicated. You can tell that a tremendous amount of thought has gone into its design and functionality. I have tried different driving apps, but Odo stands out because it offers practically everything I wanted in a single app.

A huge appreciation to the developer for building such a comprehensive and well designed app. This is exactly the kind of app that deserves more recognition.

Highly recommended for every car owner, motorcyclist, and driving enthusiast
