Odometer+ Lite is a GPS-based application designed to accurately track your travel distance. It allows you to save your recorded distances to a history, add custom titles and descriptions, and export this data as a CSV file for record-keeping or reimbursement purposes. The app can also run in the background.
Key features include highly accurate GPS distance tracking, saving recorded distances to history, the ability to add titles and descriptions to each record, CSV export for record-keeping, background operation, support for both miles and kilometers, and a map view to see your current location.
The application is available for free, but it does offer in-app purchases. This means you can download and use the basic features without charge, with options to purchase additional functionality or remove ads.
This app is great for tracking various motion activities such as road trips, bike rides, walking, jogging, and running. It's particularly useful for tracking work mileage for tax purposes or travel reimbursement.
The app's GPS accuracy can be poor inside buildings due to difficulty in getting a GPS fix, so it's best used outdoors or in a car. Additionally, continued use of GPS running in the background can significantly decrease battery life.
