About

Odysseus is a native client for your self-hosted AI server — not a wrapped WebView. It talks directly to your server's API and renders everything smoothly and natively: markdown, syntax-highlighted code blocks, token-by-token streaming, reasoning blocks, and agent mode. Requires your own Odysseus server. The app is just the client: you enter your server's address on first launch (or in Settings > Server). KEY FEATURES - Fast, native chat — streaming responses, markdown and highlighted code, expandable reasoning blocks. - Multiple models — choose from the models available on your server. - Deep Research — kick off long investigations and follow the report. - Memory / Brain — the assistant remembers context across conversations. - Notes and documents — organize and reference your material. - On-device voice dictation — transcription with embedded Whisper; audio never leaves your device. - Conversation history — pick up any session right where you left off. - Universal — iPhone, iPad, and Mac with the same native experience. - Themes — clean look with a terminal aesthetic. PRIVACY FIRST Your data stays between your device and your server. The app has no servers of its own, uses no analytics, does no tracking, and shows no ads. Voice transcription happens locally, on the device. Odysseus is free software under the PolyForm Noncommercial license.

What's New in Odysseus

1.6

This one is all fixes. - The assistant's reasoning no longer disappears when you reopen a conversation. It is kept with the reply. - Swipe to delete an email now works. It used to fail silently. - Long emails open in full instead of stopping partway through. - When the server drops older messages to fit the context window, the chat now says so — instead of the assistant just seeming to forget. - When an agent run stops early — round limit, tool-call limit, or a repeated-tool loop — the chat now explains why, instead of ending on a blank reply. - Connected model endpoints got a Refresh button. An endpoint added while its server was offline no longer shows an empty model list forever. - Photos you attach in a chat are now filed under that conversation in the Gallery.
