App is ok, could be so much better
App seems ok, most of the features didn’t work at all for first week, started working out of the blue though. Definitely not very intuitive and some of the team colors could be better.
Extremely buggy
Schedules with sunset as a start just don’t work waited 1.5 hours after sunset before I manually turn them on. If you push the zones off button, no scheduling will happen anymore even time based unless you unplug the controller. Controller isn’t smart enough to see it should have lights on due to a schedule setting either. I pretty much have to control these manually daily. Including turning them off in the morning. Inviting a user also just does not work. Very subpar for the luxury experience they claim to be selling.

Very few pattern options
Competitors offer way more and better patterns. OELO just does boring patterns. I own OELO lights. If you ever update you app and offer way more patterns and movements I’ll give a better review
Schedules
With the last update, I can't even access any of my schedules. Can only create new ones.
Keeps dropping connectivity
The lights are cool but not having anyway to control them other than through this App is tough. There are frequent drops in connectivity with the controller it is very difficult to navigate getting the app to reconnect with the physical controller that controls the lighting. It shouldn’t be this hard to connect in 2025

We’ve almost had our Oelo
permanent lights for almost a year. We love them! I look forward to lighting up my house for all the holidays and also to root on my teams! The app is user friendly and controls all of my zones effortlessly.

Best lighting App EVER!
Oelo lights are the best by far! The new Evolution controller has so many more functions and is definitely user friendly (even for my older father in law that’s not technologically savvy)! Don’t settle for the cheap stuff like I did at first, if your going to do it then so it right the first time!! I wish I could post a photo!

Love the Zones!
I love that this app has multi-zone capabilities!! I have channel that is mounted out in acrylic and down in metal, so I like separate operation of the lights. I often set the lights to wall wash down and have dancing patterns on the roofline. Can’t wait to add rear lights!

The Oelo experience from start to finish has been amazing. The app is very intuitive to navigate and the lights are so vibrant!

We love our color-changing lights! We use the Spotlight feature every night, and my wife goes crazy during the holidays with patterns.
Disappointing
I was really happy with these lights. For the first two days. On days three could not change any controller settings. They had disappeared. The techs reset the box and everything seemed ok. Until tonight, 4 days after installation. I have green lights on 2/3 of the lights and red on the other third. I am getting tired of having to go outside to reset the control box.. I try to reset the lights to a different color, no dice. I try the change the movement: nothing. This should not be this difficult

Brightness control request
Great app with nice capabilities to control lights . I’d like to see brightness settings added that would allow adjustment of a pattern’s brightness. Being able to to adjust down from full bright would be appreciated

App is having display issues
I downloaded the app on October 6th for my upgraded evolution controller (from anywhere). You cannot properly update the controller settings or set your own patterns because the display does not allow you to scroll all the way to the bottom in order to save changes. It bounces back up to a point where you can’t click the buttons on the bottom. I have iOS 18.1 installed. Not sure if it works with older software versions or android phones, but the app is essentially useless for me right now so I am not getting what I paid for.
