About
OFC Network Management draws the fibre network the way it is built: cables
between places, cores spliced in joint closures and fibre distribution boxes,
and equipment standing where it is plugged in.
Draw cables between nodes with real cable types, from 2F to 432F. Fan any cable
end open and splice a core, a whole tube or a whole cable end. Land tubes and
fibres on the numbered ports of a distribution box. Cut mid-span and heal it
back. Follow any core end to end through every joint, with distance and signal
loss totalled for you.
KEY FEATURES
Schematic and satellite views
- The logical view is the schematic: how the network is connected.
- The physical view is the same network on the ground, over satellite imagery,
with its own positions. Tidying one never moves the other.
Splicing that follows the trade
- TIA 12-colour sequence with ring and tracer marking past twelve.
- Splice trays with numbered slots inside every closure.
- Patch cords between two ports at one place, with connector loss.
Trace with loss maths
- Follow a core through joints, splitters and equipment, end to end.
- Three-way loss maths: joint loss derived and locked, path and total
back-solving each other.
- Search by core, cable, label or device IP address.
Equipment that stands somewhere
- Switches, OLTs, ONTs, routers, amplifiers and more, each drawn as what it is.
- A machine is a place on the network, not a picture beside one: run a cable
to it and it terminates on it.
- Copper, telephone and coax alongside glass, each refusing what it cannot take.
Files you own
- .ofcx projects save atomically with crash-recovery journals.
- Password-protect a project with Argon2id and AES-256-GCM encryption.
- Open, share and save through the Files app, and print the sheet.
