your crew, sorted before you get there. invite links that actually open tap an invite and offGrd opens right on it. share a group over whatsapp or messages and whoever taps it is in. no standing next to each other, no codes to type, no "can you read this out to me". groups that keep up add someone and everyone sees them. remove the ones who drifted off. and you can hand a group over now, so it doesn't quietly die when whoever made it goes home early. ticks you can trust a message that got through stops pretending it failed. one that didn't stops pretending it worked. small thing. big difference to how much you squint at your screen at 1am. nothing lost in your pocket messages that turn up while the app is closed now hold on properly until your phone has really put them somewhere safe. your history stays yours your messages are locked to your phone now, not just on the way to you. turn on backup and they follow you to a new phone. leave it off and they stay put. harder to meddle with nobody nearby can quietly convince your phone that a message landed when it didn't. it keeps trying until it really has. steadier all round we squashed a bug that could close the app on you mid-conversation. rude. phones also hold onto each other better now, so people stop blinking in and out like a dodgy fairy light. still no towers. still no servers. still works when everything else has given up.
