Errors and missing Glyphs

The App is full of errors here and there. And in many explanations the necessary glyphs don’t appear, which renders these explanations useless.
Also I was missing the guidance that I got from the Bloomberg app for example.

If it weren’t for that it would be a decent app.

Response from developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback. We’re sorry about the errors and missing glyphs; they definitely shouldn’t have happened, and we’re actively working to fix them. We also appreciate the note on guidance and will share it with our team as we continue improving the app experience.

Old GMAT

I was really excited after looking at the study plan and content, but found that they are still using the old GMAT material. They still have study questions for grammar and vocabulary and analytical essays lacking content for data analytics. Please update!

Response from developer

Hi, this is Sarah from Manhattan Prep's GMAT app's Customer Service Team. I think there must be a bit of confusion; our Manhattan Prep GMAT app is completely updated for the "next-generation" version of the GMAT exam. We removed the categories that do not get tested anymore and moved around additional content as directed by Manhattan Prep, our partner. There are no new question types, so you have everything you need to study. If you continue to have concerns, please get in touch with us at support@hltcorp.com or 319-237-7162 whenever it's convenient for you.

Typos that ruin the explanations

I’ve had to submit multiple reports of incorrect info. It’s infuriating to try to understand the explanation of a math question when the information isn’t even correct. They’re showing that 5x8=80 in an explanation. Seriously?

Response from developer

Good afternoon, Kylie! Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. Both of your emails have been forwarded to Manhattan Prep for review. Using their award-winning content, we partner with Manhattan Prep to produce and manage the GMAT mobile app. Please reach out again if there is anything else we can help you with.

Pretty good.

Stanford, take me

Amazing app

This app is impeccable for test preparation from the SAT to GMAT, they give you a few free questions a day which is superb.

Convenient app

Quite useful when I don’t have access to a web browser

Room for improvement

The foundation of this app is fantastic. There’s tiered questions progressing you though both the math, verbal and quantitative sections. In addition, I can see my questions I have issues with as well as my progression through the program.

My issues with the app is software based not content. The app often times out when navigating the app - I have failed to navigate to the Home Screen and the strategies section has zero data. If I switch between the iPad and my iPhone I have to force synch the app. And when using on my iPad I can’t bring another app like notability or notes next to the app for quick calculations. Lastly, the app fails to remember how questions I complete if I leave the app and return, forcing me to manually annotate how many questions I complete to reach my day’s goal.

Some of the issues are minor but for dropping $100 these are reasonable issues to be addressed rather swiftly. I still use for the duration of the year and check back in once I’m complete with the material.

I'm so glad you reached out to us through this review. Small app download errors can sometimes cause an issue like this. In many cases, clearing the app from the device and reinstalling it can resolve this issue. If that doesn't, please give us an opportunity to help you resolve this problem for you. Please get in touch with us at support@hltcorp.com or 319-237-7162 whenever it is convenient for you. We would love to hear from you!

Out of date

The app is out of date for the Focus edition. Lots of irrelevant questions keep coming up. Additionally, after a few weeks the same questions will keep coming up even when marked that you know them.

Response from developer

Hi, this is Sarah from Manhattan Prep's GMAT app's Customer Service Team. We're working hard at updating our GMAT app to conform to the new version of the GMAT now that the old GMAT was retired on January 31. The app contains everything you need to study for the new GMAT but still includes some older content you no longer need to study. Follow these guidelines for what not to study: 1 - Refrain from studying Sentence Correction/grammar or the Analytical Writing Assessment (Essay section). This content was removed entirely from the new GMAT. 2 - Don't study most Geometry, but still study Coordinate Plane geometry. 3 - The remaining question types and content areas are all still tested on the GMAT. There are no new question types, so you have everything you need to study. 4 - Don't use the in-app strategy articles describing how the test sections work or explaining time management strategies. 5 - Instead, sign up for a Free GMAT Starter Kit on the Manhattan Prep website—the starter kit contains all the updated test info for the new GMAT. Regarding repeating questions, please get in touch with us at support@hltcorp.com or 319-237-7162 whenever it's convenient for you. I would like to review your profile in the GMAT app.

I lost all my performance with the last update

After the last update, my performance and questions answered were reset and now I lost all my study schedule.

Straight from hell

Can’t login and can’t use the additional content that was supposed to be included in the price of 200€!!!! Change that!!!!!!!!

Too expensive for the quality

UX/UI is terrible, visual bugs everywhere, non-intuitive question formatting when images or text passages are included, TYPOS in the text passages. This is a poor excuse for an app in 2023, even more so considering how much you need to pay per month for access. Overall awful.

Could be great if it worked

When I try do daily tests, the Submit button would work in half of the cases. So frustrating. Especially because their explanations are really good

Difficult to use

Super difficult to use the app. There is a bug where I can’t toggle to review answer and I can’t submit a help request unless I setup mail even though I have an email tied to my account. I’d much prefer to study on here than a book, but this doesn’t make it easy at all.

Response from developer

Hi Nathan. It looks like we need to look into this further. Please reach out to us at support@hltcorp.zendesk.com or call us at 319-246-5271 for further assistance.

Take your money don’t give you premium access

I paid for a premium subscription and am being denied all content in the app and it says I need to subscribe still. They said they will get back to me within a few days. What a ripoff

Same questions keep coming up

Not sure why but I keep getting the same questions coming up... Does not seem like I'm getting my money's worth...

10/29 update: my data is lost. Where has all my progress gone? A very important test in my life and important data has been reset. What is going on...

Questions keep repeating

I felt I have unnecessarily spent on this app because the questions just keep repeating. The quant section is actually good, but the verbal section has same questions that keep coming everyday.

Please have a flag to help users get new questions. We’re not trying to by heart answers by revising same questions again and again :/

Will not create login

I have been waiting for almost a week for u guys to create my login. Manhatten prep has emailed you, I have messaged, emailed and called to no avail. Students rely on this!!

Log in not possible / no support

I’ve been trying for three days now to log in to the app, using the exact same info as on the website. Every time it tells me „invalid password“. I have triple checked, changed passwords and tried again and again but couldn’t get through.

Been trying to reach customer support, too but they don’t reply either. I feel frauded having paid 50$ on their gmat navigator. Probably switching to economist gmat program..

Poor/minimal explanations

The math answers provide minimal explanations for the solutions. Maybe this is good for someone with already great math knowledge, but I need to know how/what rules were used to solve. At the very LEAST, what category of math it’s called so I can google it myself.

Paid 48 dollars but content still locked

Please solve this for me
