The streaming can be unstable and at times it stops responding and has to be restarted. But overall I like it.
Functional, but exceptionally ugly
It looks like the app does most of what you want from a Kodi remote. But is so ugly and overwhelming, you’re better off with the unofficial remote instead. Well, for most use cases. I keep this one for some functionality you won’t find elsewhere. So, it’s not one star, but in the middle, solely because of that. If there’s a UX designer one day, I think this app could be 5-stars easily. Till then, honestly, hard to recommend to an average Joe.

Works like a charm
On FireTV Make sure you have HTTPS enabled
App crashes at launch.
Love the App and I use it daily for my local Movies and Music libraries on Kodi-Software.
I use an old iPhone as a remote control for my Kodi-PC. (iPhone 6 / iOS: 12.5.7)
Everything worked like a charm until I updated to the latest version.
Now the App won’t start and crashes immediately at launch. HELP!

Great Remote
I have four TVs, each with Kodi. I use this app for all of them!
Doesn’t Work Anymore
Used to work, but now it keeps saying authentication failed or failed to reconnect. I’ve tried resetting the password and username in kodi and on the remote. Tried deleting the host and re-adding it in the remote with no luck. I have 4 different nvidia shield pros with kodi. App will no longer connect with any of them.

Works sometimes
Not sure why, but 50% of the time I try to connect it says “the request timed out”. It’ll happen intermittently and there’s nothing that can be done to resolve it but wait.

Great functionality and UI but...
Love the app. I use it only for one thing - accessing my Kodi music library on an older 2010 Macbook Pro - and it works like a champ! My biggest beef is the inability to rate songs using the app. Surely this should not be difficult. Will also be great if the song ratings can be shown in the track listing when opening an album.

It just works
No matter what device, as long as you are on wifi kodi remote works perfectly. Really has made life that much more easy.
Stopped working on iPhone
Have 2 iPhones and after an update to version 1.15 the Kodi app stopped connecting. Upgraded Kodi to 21.1 Omega, same issue. The wake on lan is the only part that works. I can connect using Microsoft edge on a laptop and all functions work however on apple iPhone devices I can no longer connect
A great app for a great project
Kodi is an absolutely amazing media center pc program and this remote app can display your entire library. Thank you for the hard work devs!

A cluttered and confusing interface that is Not user-friendly
All the functions to manage Kodi are there but sadly marred by the most I'll-thought out interface I have encountered in a remote control app. There is no synergy or flow to it and it is woefully unnecessarily complicated in execution. Sybu Kodi remote in comparison is streamlined, logical and easy to use.

Thank you for the feedback. It will be good, if you could share some main problems you see with the current UI compared to Sybu. Do you e.g. would expect folder/add-on access on the main menu, or you expect more control elements on NowPlaying? Kodi Remote offers more functionality especially around Music, Music Videos, Pictures, Live TV, Kodi settings and library browsing in general.
Unable to mark seasons as “watched”
I can only mark one episode at a time as “watched”, instead of being able to do so for a whole season or show at a time. Also it only plays shows locally (ie on my phone) instead of on the TV. Lame! I’m switching to another app.
