What's New in Officium

1.1.1

August 21, 2026

Officium now prays in Brazilian Portuguese and Latin-American Spanish — the complete interface, the Roman office, the Little Office of the B.V.M., widgets, and the read-aloud audio. Reading improvements, from a reader's feedback: • Every psalm is headed by its number, and every verse is numbered as in a printed breviary. • Canticles carry their scripture reference; readings, collects, and hymns are labeled correctly. • Choose your psalter at first launch — Traditional (Douay-Rheims) or Modern English — the same verse shown in both, so you can choose by ear. • Text corrections throughout the Portuguese and Spanish psalters. Bug fixes in 1.1.1: • Fixed a rare freeze when changing the prayer language. • The V. and R. marks no longer clip the first letter of the line that follows. • Steadier audio playback and calendar scrolling.

User reviews

The psalms have no numbers attached to them.

Disappointed in the psalm translation. I have prayed the Divine office since age 16. That’s the past 70 years
