About

OffToCook answers one question: what should we cook next, based on what's actually in your kitchen right now? Add what's in your fridge, freezer, and pantry shelf, tell OffToCook what your household usually cooks, and it ranks your recipe catalog to tell you exactly what to make right now — learning from your cooking history as you go. HOW IT WORKS • Log your ingredients by location (fridge, freezer, shelf) with quantities • Get a ranked Cook Next recommendation with a match score and the reason behind it — which ingredients you have, which you're missing, and how it fits your household's taste • Browse your top 5 suggestions any time, not just the single best pick • Log what you actually cooked and rate it, so future recommendations get sharper • Set household preferences once during setup — family size, cuisine preferences, dietary notes — and every recommendation respects them BUILT-IN RECIPE CATALOG Comes with a starter catalog spanning South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, Arabian, Continental, and Italian cuisines, and grows as you cook. TRANSPARENT BY DEFAULT The core recommendation engine is a deterministic, fully transparent scoring algorithm — no black box. It weighs ingredient match, taste preference, cooking frequency, and variety, and shows its reasoning for every suggestion. OPTIONAL AI RECOMMENDATIONS If enabled, OffToCook can use Google's Gemini API to go further — suggesting dishes outside your existing catalog, including ones you're only an ingredient or two away from, and telling you exactly what to buy. This is entirely optional; the app works without any AI service by default. Free to use. No ads.
