Pretty unique with a lot of improvement potential
I was looking for an alternative to Speak, which I consider the best language learning app out there, but unfortunately still does not offer German. I tested Ogima for a week and then bought the full year premium subscription, so I’ve used the app now for two weeks. The app is pretty unique in the sense that it combines the structure of specific conversational topics with the flexibility of AI to create additional content that is relevant to the user. It also has the ability to adjust to the user level very quickly, which is another big advantage. The one thing that I am missing is the spaced repetition of the words and phrases covered in previous lessons. The other thing that can be improved is that on some days I get very basic 1-minute exercises, while on others I get the longer 3-minute ones that are certainly more helpful for memorizing words and phrases. I do not think that is by design because the 1-minute exercises to not do much to retain the new information, especially given the lack of spaced repetition mentioned above. I hope that these features will be improved because the app has the potential to become a worthy competitor of the Speak app. I’ve tested dozens of language learning apps over the past 10+ years and it is amazing how few apps focus on speaking the foreign language, which of course is the ultimate goal of any foreign language learner … I will provide an update again in 1 month.

Truly amazing app
It is great to practice speaking and improve your language skills. Very intuitive overall experience
I love it
good app, worth trying - now on premium learning Spanish for 2 months and learning experience is great.
Finally serious language learning
I tried so many apps but this one is perfect by far. It makes you say common sentence patterns so you start speaking phrases that make you fluent very fast. Best use of AI I have seen. You only study what you like
this rocks seriously
love the speaking drills about the scenarios in my real life
soooo different I love it
speaking drills are so helpful, they are right from my daily love 🤯
beste sprachlern app, die ich je probiert hab
Effektivste methode zum sprechen lernen und jeden tage neue lektionen, muss mir nicht mal überlegen was als nachstes dran ist
Woow I‘m really impressed
This App is rocking ittt! I Really liked the Daily speaking Lessons
Great novel approach to language learning
I really like scrolling through the short lessons! Also organization around topics is amazing as well. Definitely easier to keep being motivated than other apps.
Tad glitchy
This app was cool so far but it is a little glitchy and slow in the sense that i can say the same thing like 20 times and it is wrong until the 20th try and also it straight up just stopped working at one point. Like i had to completely exit out of the app and start over. also I hate AI so not my fav buttt it seems pretty good so far!

hi nikname1357 :) it's Bengi from Ogima, the repetition bug and the crash are exactly the kind of things we needed to hear, and we've already pushed fixes based on your comments. also appreciated that you gave it a real shot despite not being an AI fan, that means something to us. if you're open to it, we'd love to stay in touch and hear what you think of the new version: hello@ogimalearn.com best, B
Effective, focused and worth your time
This app actually works. Clear structure, smart exercises, and zero wasted time. You feel progress fast instead of being trapped in gimmicks. It respects your intelligence and keeps you moving forward. If you are serious about learning a language instead of playing games, use this app.
