ugh, yet another terrible subscription application

Unless you want to subscribe, the in-app purchase is for subscription only. This IAP listed is not a flat rate to unlock forever, but a ransom for an app that doesn’t really look like the monthly updates it promises aren’t adding actual useful content. An idea for Stanislav is to just charge for actual content delivery of sound packs. There are other options available that offer a lot more creative control and it is up to the user to purchase the additional packs and styles beyond the basic pre-installed packs. It allows the user to pay as they go when they can to use the product and get the value they want. . You can continue with the limited function, which is an unplayable demo. It is like downloading an advert that wants you to subscribe if you want to actually use the thing, monthly. A 3 day trial seems useless. There are way too many subscriptions around in apps, and even retail now, when money is tight. The last update is listed at the time I write this as over a year ago, meaning the monthly updates promised on the subscription page is false, or so minor that it adds no value to the user. I buy quality content, not basic access.

Well...

...an arpeggiator - that's what I was looking for!

This app, however, feels more like a toy: a little Square is moving in a circular manner over a "checkerboard":
You can "darken" the tiles, but that does not have any effect.
You can tell the little square to do make little turns (so that it moves in a star-like manner/pattern, instead of circular. That creates different sounds.
My biggest problem is, that I am not able to produce a loop with the length I need (e.g. 4/4), because the movements are way too unpredictable. Additionally, on the display of my laptop, the app opens in a window only, and that approximately is the size of the screen of my iPhone (way too small).
Last, since there is no manual or documentation, I couldn't manage to find out how to use the app productively...

That is a pity; and of course I am not in a position to buy an app the functions of which I do not understand.

Maybe the dev(s?) Could include a little manual with their product. Something like a "Quick Start" guide should not be too much work, and would help people like me in evaluating the app's functions!

I cannot give 5 stars, with the experience, I described here. Still, I have a hunch did this little app MIGHT provide wonderful possibilities to form sound in a manner of "happy accidents"; if I could only get the length right...

I'll be watching what happens, and as soon as I can make it work, I shall gladly buy it and update this review!

Response from developer

Hello, FlukeGrin! Thank you for the detailed feedback and for giving our app a try. Indeed, it operates on physical principles, where particle movement is chaotic and doesn’t follow conventional musical beats. We designed this system specifically for sound experimentation and unique effect creation. We understand that the lack of instructions can be challenging, and we’ll be adding a ‘Quick Start’ guide to help users explore the app’s settings and features more easily. Thank you for the suggestion! We’re glad you see the app’s potential, and we’re working to improve your experience. Stay tuned for updates!

Useless w/o subscription. Awful business model

This is a unity app, the app is heavily locked down including an obligatory 40% off subscription screen that panics you into believing the app won’t work. The small gray text saying continue is so small.

I’m just shocked that anyone would pay 5.99 a month to use this app, but maybe I’m just an overly emotional reviewer looking for free apps. Either way, this app is big time poopoo. Sorry to all the nice fellas who made it- maybe I should delete this review.

Hi, egoki11a! Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate any constructive feedback or suggestions you have about the update and how it works. It's really important to us. The app does include a subscription with a 3-day free trial to fully experience the content. Also in the free mode there is some content for interaction and understanding whether you need to switch to the extended version. Regarding your assessment of our application, I can assure you that the application is in demand. It is used both as entertainment and to use his developments as a further change - searching for a groove and interesting rhythmic patterns. Thank you very much, we will try to improve. Best regards, Castles Trip.

Exploitation

Can’t stand these apps that say they’re free then hit you with a subscription demand right away

Cool app

I’m really enjoying this app

Response from developer

Hello! Thank you for your feedback, it is very important and pleasant for us :) Best regards, Castles Trip

Looked interesting….

But you cannot try it without subscribing and then unsubscribing if you do not want it. If you have faith in your product and are asking me to pay £60 a year for it you really need to rethink that. If I am paying £60 a year for something I expect more than an Instagram account for support. It is only a Unity app with all the shortcomings that brings (like the no sound problem in the other review).

Not working

As previous review states it is impossible to get past a "Check your Internet connection". Thus making it impossible to use. I would have reported this to App Support but that links to an Instagram account 🤷‍♂️

Doesn't Seem to Work

The app is stuck on the splash page & telling me I have no internet connection (which is fine) so can't even try it

Doesn’t work

No sound but keeps bugging me to buy the premium app 😂

Intéressant

Petit module bien sympa, interface intéressante, des rendus qui génèrent des ambiances sonores inspirantes. Par contre prise en main des contrôleur s pas trés pratique.

Response from developer

Salut Npispace!

Subscription required just to try it.

This business model is so annoying I’m not willing to go any for there with this.

Response from developer

Hi Snorkelfork! We regret that the suggested options for using the application did not suit you. I would like to note that free functions are available in the application, with the help of which you can familiarize yourself with the application and understand whether the full version is necessary. For more advanced use of the application, access to all content and all updates, a subscription is required. Best regards, Castles Trip.

Sketchville

You’ve been warned.

Cara y mala

Funciona mediante suscripción. El interface tiene un montón de lug y unos cuantos bugs. Sólo tiene cuatro presets y no deja importar tus propios sonidos. Tampoco tiene MIDI Out. Una pena porque la idea era buena.

Response from developer

¡Muchas gracias por tu comentario! ¡Definitivamente ampliaremos nuestra funcionalidad en las próximas actualizaciones! También trabajamos en la exportación de archivos MIDI y salida MIDI.

What can I do with this app?

I tried subscribing; it remains to be seen if I can get my money back even though they say I can within 3 days, because unlike most trials which delay the actual charge for the duration of the trial period but not this one!

Look, I’m a big fan of algorithmic music generation, so the bar is fairly low for me in terms of expectation, but I do expect that I can use an app to either generate audio I can import into a project, and/or control remotely to generate this audio in a time-synced and preferably track divided fashion.

There are a grand total of 4 patch presets, and no obvious way to create (or buy) more. So unless I’m really, really into “Neylon Kick” or “Soft Percussion”, “French wind”(!) or “Cozy Ju” I’m already in trouble.

But, you say, this is more about note intervals than timbre of the sounds per-se, so I will simply use the MIDI it generates in my DAW of choice and insert my own patches, right?

Nope, no MIDI support whatsoever, that I can see.

Now, I don’t want to crush your hopes and dreams of being an iOS developer, but if this is kind of a first attempt proof-of-concept build GitHub would have been the perfect place for it, and if you just couldn’t resist the user base potential of indexing on the App Store, you definitely don’t charge for it, and the audacity of attempting to charge MONTHLY for it, for an app that almost does nothing, definitely nothing useful in the real world.. maybe I DO want to crush your hopes and dreams if I can..

Hello H7x! Thank you for your feedback, it is very important to us! We are very sorry that the current presets are not enough for your creativity, we are working on this issue and in the near future there will be updates to sound presets and settings for them. Regarding MIDI, this is a worthy note, this functionality is under development and we hope that soon our users will be able to try it for their creative experiments!

Can't even try

Can't even try with subscribing.

Hello, unknownjenkins! Thank you very much for your feedback, can you explain in detail what your problem is?
