About
WhatsApp exports a conversation and hands you a .zip nobody can really open: an
enormous .txt and hundreds of loose photos, out of order and out of context.
OkaZip takes that file and gives you the conversation back the way it was —
messages, photos, videos and voice notes, in order, with dates and with who
said what.
HOW IT WORKS
1. In WhatsApp, open a chat, tap the contact's name, then Export Chat
2. Choose "Attach Media"
3. Pick OkaZip from the share sheet
That is the whole thing. No saving the file, no hunting through Files, no
uploading anything by hand.
ENCRYPTED BEFORE IT LEAVES
Your messages are encrypted on your own iPhone, before they are sent. What
sits on the server is the encrypted result — not the text, not the photos, not
even the names of your conversations exist in the clear on our side.
You choose who holds the key. Sign in and we hold it for you, sealed, so you
can open the archive on any device without risking it. Prefer the key to be
yours alone? Add a passkey and tell us to stop holding it — from then on, not
even we can open it.
Ask, which answers questions about a conversation, is off until you turn it
on. Nothing is read on your behalf unless you ask for it, and the app keeps a
list of every time it happened.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Read any conversation again, with the photos and voice notes in place
• Search by word — the search runs on your device, over encrypted text
• Open the same archive on another phone or on a computer
• Try it before making an account: open an export and read it, uploading nothing
• Delete everything whenever you want, keys destroyed first
LARGE EXPORTS
Years of conversation with thousands of photos work. An upload picks up where
it left off if the connection drops, and the screen does not go dark halfway.

Documents open over the conversation instead of taking it over. Tap a PDF and it appears on top, with the chat still behind it — and Save, share and print where you expect them. Before, it replaced the app with no way back. Attachments from Android exports are no longer missed. A fault in how the transcript was read could silently drop every PDF, every document, and any photo that had a caption. Importing one of those chats again brings them back. AI features now say exactly what is sent and to whom, and ask before anything leaves your device. They remain off until you turn them on.
