Beatiful

Beautiful story, beautiful music, art and animation. I have played it over and over through the years.

Exquisite Game

I loved everything about this game-the music, the art, the graphics, the story. Gorgeous playing experience.

Love it

Very nice game that’s really peaceful and enjoyable and is so beautiful.

Shame about the moving about

I only lasted about 5 mins, as moving the landscape around was too tedious (and not intuitive). Shame as the graphics looked good.

Touching story embedded in a peaceful game.

Beautiful story and graphic. Even it is short I’ve loved every bit of this game. Definitely recommen

Short & sweet

I enjoyed this, the story was sweet and I like the graphic style. It’s more of a short puzzle / story than a game. If this was developed into more levels and stories I’d probably keep going. One thing I felt was missing was a gap in the story near the end, it felt like a big jump, from the last memory to the end, like a piece was missing. Overall it was fun and sweet, no regrets for $2

Best story made me cry

C’est super beau.

J’aime beaucoup ❤️

A bit boring and too expensive

The game is short for that price and kind of boring but it’s not awful. You need to move the landscape around so the old man can go from point A to point B. The logics of the game are sometimes confusing and the levels are quite repetitive. It’s ok but not my thing.

Langweilig

Gioco carino

Gioco a pagamento, carino! Ma dura veramente pochissimo risolto in 1 oretta! Boooh
Boh…

Awesome game with great atmosphere

Waste of money.

After an hour of trying (and watching YouTube how-to videos) I still couldn’t get the old man to do what I wanted. 🤬

Quaint yet Profound

In a world built upon stimulation at all costs, even the cost of our collective peace of mind, its inspiring to see people putting so much time and passion into something that understands the true value at the heart of the human experience: love, togetherness, and an appreciation for the simplicity of one’s surroundings. Just as the titular protagonist learns the of the greater importance of relationships over excitement, this game teaches the gamers who play it much the same lesson. It’s not a journey through a setting so much as through one’s own heart.
Now with the Hallmark Card content out of the way, here’s my take on the gameplay. While some complain of the games short storyline, this misses the point of the game: the entertainment value of the game doesn’t come from keeping your attention for as long as possible, but from taking in each and every scene and story beat and reading into them an entire lifetime.
As for environmental interaction, I’d say that a helpful hint wouldn’t hurt now and again since the most important detail for making progress isn’t quite that obvious. Still, this comes down more to personal preference since some people will love the fact that they need to figure it out for themselves, just as an adventurer must.
Finally, the setting is spectacular with a simplistic storybook feel that allows you to put as much of yourself into it as you like without being reduced to “make of it what you will.” The important thing is that the journey is about a man learning to see the beauty in what’s right in front of him, not amazing far-away places oversaturated in stimulating effects; thus the setting emphasizes simplicity but gives you a sense of scale and wonderment in which even a grassy hill or a bench conceals something much deeper in meaning. Overall, a lovely time spent joining an explorer on his grandest adventure of all.
My only real complaint is the underwater scene. Besides straining my suspension of disbelief given how long the Old Man is holding his breath for, it really doesn’t contribute much to the ambience or journey besides trying to add diversity to the environment, somewhat undermining the game’s message. Even then, it doesn’t last long and is more of a narrative non-sequitur than a level that devastates the quality of the gaming experience. Please make more games like this.

Question…

Sweet

Silly old man, you deserve a hug and a frustrated thump. Come home

Fabulous story/game

Loved this. It’s great to find a game for 99p. It’s the right price and non of those blasted adverts. It’s a simple game but so well made it just relaxes you as you play. Loved it.
