What's New in OLED Control

2.0.10

October 27, 2026

New Service Tools page: LG's service menus, TPC, GSR and Restart TV in one place. Plus HDMI Signalling Override and panel hours in TV Info. NEW • Service Tools, with an on-screen remote after each service menu opens. Restart TV needs webOS 6 or later. • HDMI Signalling Override for HDMI sources on 2021 and later TVs. The shortcut to LG's own panel needs webOS 26. • TV Info: model, webOS release, resolution and panel hours. • Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro on 2024 and later TVs, Near Black Detail on 2025 and later, AI HDR Remastering on 2026 models. • FPS Counter in Game Optimizer on webOS 26. • 24-point white balance on 2026 models. • Cloud Gaming preset for TV game apps on 2022 and later TVs. • Edit saved presets. • Send Feedback in Profile & support. • Pick your widget's buttons, including Screen Off and Screen On. IMPROVED • Search filters the settings screens as you type. • Settings use LG's menu names and show only what your model has. • Default presets follow LG's OLED settings guide for each model. • Connect also sends a wake signal to a TV in standby. • When a connection fails, setup offers Try Again, Enter IP Address or another TV, and says when the TV is on a different network. You can also skip this step. • Color Temperature reads W50 to C50 like the TV menu, and locks with a note while Reduce Blue Light is on. • TVs from 2021 and earlier: settings the TV can't report show your last value as Saved, and presets skip what your TV doesn't have. • Twin Zoom is gone; LG TVs ignored it. FIXED • Default presets set a warm color temperature. Before, they set it cool. • Prevent Input Delay and Expression Enhancer send values your TV accepts. • TV discovery finds your TV more reliably, also right after launch. • A TV name you set stays after reconnecting. • A saved TV that got a new address connects at the new one. • Pairing stops after 60 seconds with Try Again, and a late reply from the TV no longer restarts it. • App icons in the app library show the right way up.

The only way to disable TPC and GSR on LG C5 models

I’ve kinda hated and regretted buying my LG C5 ever since I got it. I have a C4 in my bedroom, which I was able to unlock the service menu on since that was the last model to support it.

I thought I had unlocked it on my C5 through color control, since I was able to connect and change settings, but these settings never actually disabled. The flickering of the screen had been driving me absolutely crazy.

After about 20 hours of messing with the settings, I was able to reduce the GSR and TPC by forcing the Game Optimizer into Filmmaker Mode by forcing certain settings using color control. The TV still flickered, but much less often. But the image was never actually stable and I could tell.

I installed this apps, unlocked the features, after clicking to disable GSR and TPC I noticed that the TV woke up from the screen saver like something actually happened. I popped my game on and no background flickering in both HDR and SDR modes. Absolutely perfect. I no longer subconsciously despise using this TV and will be able to fix my friend’s C5 as well. Everyone should do this, the flickering is pretty bad on these models.

Thank you for creating this app. I can now undo my funky filmmaker game optimizer and actually use my TV as intended.

Better than nothing.

I tried the color control app so many times. Could never connect to my tv. No matter what I did. Never worked for me. This app is better than that PC garbage.

5 star BUT

I don’t like the pricing, most of what your tool does I can use ColorControl (PC) for and for free. You should add a Lifetime subscription and I say maybe $30-$100? A One time payment. I’ve tried it and the only exclusive thing you have that works where color control doesn’t is setting AI Picturr Pro and AI Genre Selection. Everything else ColorControl has for FREE.

Then Again its nicer to have the phone so thats why I say a lifetime payment. Just nothing over $150 for a lifetime. Poor people like me would rather use a cheap $50 laptop just for ColorControl.

Doesn’t work

It won’t connect to the TV at all. I went onto the main website and did all the troubleshooting steps and nothing happened.

Great app, but

All is great, but can you add pointer controls like in LG app in future updates? 🌝

Response from developer

Thanks, good suggestion, will surely add that!
