Great app for a newbie like me

I’ve been hesitant at first but after practicing in the trading sandbox, I’m really happy with the results! It’s a great app for anyone interested in tapping into the world of options trading.
I’m now ready to connect my brokerage and make some real money!

Pricey

I just signed up, so I can’t comment on the returns, but based upon a $10,000 account you need a 10% return just to pay for the SUBSCRIPTION. It’s almost $1,000/ year for the service! Wow. If the returns pan out it can be worth it, but with so few people leaving reviews, and almost no information on algo performance this is very high. All that said, it does execute on TD as advertised (although the abitity to tweak for better fills would be nice.). It is user friendly and very clean with no bugs that I could find. One request would be a full desktop browser version as the iPad version lacks the ability to see the full risk/reward, and for more experienced traders to play with. If it pans out I will update my review.

Update: I have been playing with this a lot, and the first thing to say is that it’s fills are TERRIBLE. It pays the market bid, and does not attempt to find a middle point between the spread at all, nor does it give you the ability to manually tweak the order before submission. This doesn’t bode well for future returns using this app.

Thanks for the feedback. We actually compute limit price as the mid point between bid/ask for all the legs.

I love defining my outcome!

As a layman investor, I know very little about trading options. This platform gives me the access to options trading without having to know the tricks. It’s very easy to understand. As far as I know, there’s no competing product.

Last year I averaged 15 percent return. This was while I had protected downside risk - big wins for me personally. I am a dumb retail investor who blindly followed olives picks.

Can’t see order executions

Paid for the subscription and couldn’t see strikes of orders to complete the strategies. Platform does not work as advertised. Ended up getting refunded from Apple.

If you paid for a subscription you should have continued to have full access to OlivePro features that you experienced during the 2 week free trial, including ability to see the optimized strikes on the preview order screen for each trade during market hours. Gives decent trades but……

Decent options plays for any stock, not a lot of risk or be more risky while being smarter. The app runs really slow though, and times out a lot. I’m still on 2 free week trial and don’t know if I’ll renew until the bugs are worked out.

We've made a massive improvement to responsiveness and speed of the app (1.2.6). Using defined outcomes you know your risk exposure, are able to customize a suitable buffer percentage, and at maturity cannot lose more than buying the underlying stock/ETF outright.
