Sounds are good but ….
I would gladly pay for other features if it was AUv3 and stable. The xMure app does integrate OMB and does offer more upgrade options. There still is enough for a novice to have fun. Helps you work on your timing.

I don’t understand the old neg reviews. I tried the “Free” app on M1 iPad and using two midi keyboards. This app saved me $2,500 (unless I want to go pro) as it is very similar to some of the Ketron SD modules. I can layer in my other midi sounds hosted in AUM and have a much richer sound. I would pay for other features and I am disappointed only in that there is no option. The xMure app does integrate OMB and does offer more upgrade options. There still is enough for a novice to have fun. Helps you work on your timing. Blown away.

Freezes and crashes frequently
Too buggy to use.
Utterly dreadful
Having waited eagerly for the OMB acoustic guitar to arrive after more than a year of waiting (is it nearer two years - it’s been so long I’ve lost track) I have to say I’ve never been more disappointed with an instrument purchase in my life. The guitar itself is OK but the OMB element is just awful.
First off, it comes with NOTHING in the way of instructions. I spent the first five minutes looking at it, wondering what I was supposed to do.
I downloaded the app. Still none the wiser.
Found a link to instructions online in a tiny font on the card that accompanies the guitar. Finally found the manual. Is it the right manual? It seems to mostly deal with installing the OMB device to your own guitar.
First step is calibration. This took three attempts and requires a capo. During calibration you’re supposed to capo the twelfth fret. Except a capo won’t fit the twelfth fret due to the shape of the neck.
Then the chord recognition is just dreadful. Truly dreadful.
What a pile.
Save yourself a whole lot of time, money and disappointment. Avoid.

GR8 little app
I still wish one day for importing my own drums and sounds vie sf2 Sfz and full layer editing but for portable use it’s GR8 and high quality
Very poor quality
Not with standing that you have to purchase a very expensive guitar or backer kit in advance from OMB , this app offers very poor quality access or variation in sound or quality. It also beggars the question why a guitarist would need to play drums on the guitar , which is one of the choices .There is insufficient choice and the types of sounds available but what there are is very limited in variations . There is also no tuning mode or variants of tuning .

Inconsistent
Stops working sporadically for no apparent reason. Some solo instruments do not work. Buggy and needs work.
No virtual midi
This app will not recognize any virtual midi inputs.
Waiting for the deluxe acoustic guitar to show up
Plays drums sounds, options seem to look for data but this has been a very long long time coming and I still only have a free app that cost me $749.00. I will update as this instrument is delivered
Will not start up
Every time I open the app, it starts then has a loading thing at the bottom and at the top comes up check internet connection, then no internet connection.
I restart the app, same thing, I uninstall and reinstall, same thing.
I mean seriously, we have been waiting for this this app and our omb gear for a year and a half when initially it was going to be 4 months. An extra year of development time and the app doesn’t even work.
I guess it’s not that big an issue seeing as no one has their guitars yet to utilise the app.
Seriously, sort this out, if the app and products do even half of what was initially claimed would be 5 stars without a second thought, but alas it won’t even start up.
Very disappointed.
Once it is fixed and if I ever get my order and if it all works then I will update my review accordingly.

Well thought out
Its not perfect, but it is well thought out. You don’t need to leave the app as you have both the styles and instrument sounds within the same app.
I would like to see capability for playing user styles (.sty), but I don’t think that makes sense for OMBs business model, so I am not holding my breath.
To make this a performance tool, please consider some type of midi sync, eg Ableton Link. Also for future updates please consider adding the ability to play Audio Units withing the app.

Omb guitar
You need the guitar or kit to put on your guitar before using.
Unable to open app
I was unable to open the App. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Still nothing.
Still waiting
So far the app does nothing but crash. The sound list just defaults to ‘coming soon’. So there is nothing to use or hear. Vaporware.
