Omedeto: Learn Japanese

Version 2.0 is the biggest update since launch. WRITE KANJI FROM MEMORY • A new writing canvas where you draw the character yourself on a grid — from memory, not just tracing. • Animated stroke-order guides so you can watch how a character is built before you try it. • Practice freely on any kanji's own page, where nothing counts against you. A CLASSROOM THAT KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED • Lessons now orbit a Chapter Practice hub — your whole chapter at a glance, and one tap to the part that needs work. • A predicted grade tells you whether you're ready for the test before you sit it. • Slang, culture and your own custom lessons now have classes of their own. • A gentle nudge when one part of a chapter falls behind the rest. WORDS THAT ACTUALLY STICK • New words arrive as matching puzzles before you're ever asked to type them. • Flashcards give hints for new info and slowly fade them out over time as you learn. • 249 set phrases get a deck of their own. • Save anything to My Words, and look a word up from almost anywhere in the app. A MEMORY THAT PLANS YOUR REVIEWS • A new scheduling engine follows every card direction and every grammar point separately, so you revisit what you actually forgot instead of the whole deck. • Already know some Japanese? Test out of it and skip ahead. AND PLENTY MORE • Speed rounds, second tries, and typed answers. • Grammar diagrams, side-by-side sheets for grammar that's easy to confuse, romaji you can switch off, and furigana that fades as you improve. • Koto shows you around the Classroom and the Textbook on your first visit. • Better battery use, new haptics, and iPad layout fixes throughout.
