Nice App but bit of a problem

I don’t know what I did but think the calendar is now a bit off since attempting to modify date during Passover. I can only use this as a reminder now and not rely on what the actual count day is. Sometimes it’s right and sometimes it’s wrong. Kind of strange that happens.

Love it

This is a really great app, thank you!

"I counted today!" box issue

I have really enjoyed using this app to count the omer this year. I love the sefirot diagram, and I especially love the 40-day progress counter that fills in with the colorful circles.

Unfortunately, if you count but don't check the "I counted today!" box EVERY day, the circles won't fill in. This is a problem for Shabbat and any other time you may count without the app. I'd love to have a backtracking option so I can retroactively check off those days and see my full colored-in diagram at the end!

If this is addressed, I will adjust my rating to 5 stars.

Thanks for this simple, free, and colorful omer counting app!

Response from developer

I’m glad you are enjoying the app! You can click the calendar, then the yesterday button to click that you counted on Shabbat. If you need to go back further, you can do that as well, but it only works a month or two after the omer ends. If you want to test it, you can change the date and time on your phone to June 30,2018, and you’ll see that you can click the “I counted” box as far back as May 2, 2018.

Wrong Count!

This app misses the fact that in Judaism a day is from sunset to sunset. This app rolls over to the next day at midnight before the sunset of the next day, therefor the count is wrong for 20 hours out of 24 hours.

Response from developer

By default the app doesn't use your location, so it uses 5pm as a darkness time, but by using the settings tab, you can set your location to be used for computing sunset, and an appropriate counting time.

Spam

This app contains a spam virus that launches websites on safari whenever you open it.

Response from developer

There was a short period where the website that hosts the quotes was hacked and caused strange behavior, but this was fixed a long time ago.
