Polk support is garbage
The soundbar sounded good in the store, but this app and their customer support are worthless.
Very buggy
This app crashes almost every time it starts. It takes a long time to connect (like 20s), and the volume controls have a lot of lag. Incredibly frustrating. Will never buy another Polk product.
Garbage app
Last version update was a century ago. Polk should scrap this app and make their Omni app better. Don’t hold your breath, though. I remember when Polk was innovative back in the 90s so it’s hard to see them really struggle to stay relevant and this app is an example of that struggle.
Welcome Additions But Still Needs Some Changes
It is great to finally have some remote control capabilities for the Omni A1 amp with the new update such as volume control and some input selections but the app still needs some changes. The "OK" button just adds an extra step to everything and should be abandoned. Simply touching the button for each input should change each input selection. Perhaps the whole spinning dial thing needs to be abandoned.
The input selection options in the app for the Omni A1 amp are opt, phono, and aux. However, there is no selection for "wi-fi". It may not seem like a big deal but the "wi-fi" input is the amp's default input. I primarily use the optical input which I can now select through the app but when I'm done using the amp and want it to go into standby I have to get up, walk over to the amp, and cycle through the inputs manually until I get to the "wi-fi" input. A "wi-fi" option needs to be added to the current input options in the app.

No functionality
Other than allowing you to update the speaker software, which you can do through the polk omni playfi app, this app does nothing. Literally, nothing. The speaker literature indicates that this app allows you to pair speakers, control equalizers on the speakers and control the input on the sb2 speaker. Maybe that's coming in the future but it is not here now. In sum, this app is not as advertised in the speaker literature and has ZERO purpose or functionality.
I must say, however, that the polk omni speakers and the playfi system is otherwise awesome.
