Generally good, a few annoyances

Overall a good experience, but leaving the home bar on the bottom is extremely annoying on the iPad. If it was hidden, like in the kindle app, would make reading much more enjoyable.

Rejoice comic fans, Omnibus is here!

This is the app all comic fans have been waiting for for a long time. This app makes reading digital comics so easy, that I kinda envy new readers who get to start their comic journey with this app. The store layout looks great and is easy enough to navigate, the purchases and downloads finish in the blink of an eye, the reading experience is smooth, and there's enough variety and titles to keep even the most avid and curious reader busy for years to come. It's obvious that the team behind the app are actual fans of the medium, because they’ve addressed the main issues that have plagued the digital comic experience for decades, and it sounds they’re just getting started. Regardless, the comic fans and the comic curious can finally breath a sigh of relief, because Omnibus is here to save the day

The comic book app I’ve been dreaming of

Omnibus is the comic book app I’ve been dreaming of! The launch catalog is top notch and buying comics is super easy. The app design is beautiful and minimal, keeping the focus on the comics. And the reading experience is flawless — full bleed digital comics in all their glory! Omnibus has reignited my passion for comics! I can’t wait to see how the app continues to evolve!

Great reading experience

Really enjoying this app so far. Very easy to find and buy comics and the reading experience is much better than the kindle app. Hoping to see more content added. Hoping to see some light social features including recommendations and “playlists”. Really nice start here.

Great effort but still buggy

There’s a solid collection of indie publishers and the experience is generally positive but I’ve run into a few problems that make the app hard to recommend.

First off shopping for a book in the store is tedious as the default sorting is based off of recent releases and not by book title.

Secondly the suggestions for what to buy next when finishing a book is not great if you’re reading a book that has multiple limited or short run series with similar names. Id get recommendations for different series instead of the one I’m currently reading.

The final issue is probably the biggest and ultimately what’s going to be make or break for me. After the most recent update I lost my entire collection of about a dozen or so books. Thankfully it’s not a huge investment but it is unsettling and doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence. I already reached out to their support so we’ll see what happens.

Hey jmcfey! All great points and things we're addressing! 1) We had to simplify a few thing sot get to launch, but are adding better sorting and filtering in our next set of work. We 100% agree! 2) Agreed on this too, it can for sure be better. It's on our list. 3) Don't worry, your books/purchases aren't lost. We are *SO* sorry you hit this bug. If you log out and back in your books reappear. We've been working on fixing it and are pushing a fix for it today. It's a really bad bug and we understand your frustration!

Super easy to use and navigate. Great titles!

I am really enjoying using this app and reading comics. The books look TERRIFIC and it’s easy to zoom in to peep the details in the artwork. It's super easy to browse and buy titles, and your purchases are clearly displayed as a nice collection. They make it so easy, it’s hard not to buy the next issue when you get to the end of a title!

Unable to read anything

There are both no free comics and the preview doesn’t work. It’s impossible to even test this app.

Hello! We actually just launched a row of free content near the bottom of the store tab. The preview reader experience unfortunately didn't get fixed before launch (trust us, we're annoyed with it too). We're releasing a fix that uses our awesome main reader next week. So, a fix is on the way! Sorry, we know that's not ideal and it's important to us to fix it fast.
