This app has never let me down!
This app is from 1990s
It’s 2026, this app still has no push notifications so if your pump stopped you don’t get notified in real time, you either have to check in the app yourself or check your emails to see if you got an alert. There is so much potential to make Hayward app stand out from
Competition but Hayward chooses to do nothing with push notifications:
You can send alerts if no water
You can send alerts if pump stopped
You can send alerts if salt goes below certain level
Etc etc etc
When will Hayward change? Once someone with better app takes their clients? Trying to catchup will be hard at that point.

Very convenient and easy to use!
Convenient but unreliable
We love the ability to operate our complete pool system from the app. Unfortunately, the scheduling function won’t work reliably despite resetting numerous times so we still have to manually turn the filter on and off daily

Frustrating
The app is extremely slow to link to the information about the pump, heater and jets. It also resets to default settings that are ridiculous every time it updates

Works Pretty Good
I upgraded my system from Hayward Prologic to Omni, for a variety of reasons. One of them was I would not have to by a new dedicated remote, which are spendy. Both the Omnilogic controller and this app have exceeded my expectations. I really have no complaints.
Generally good, but Inconsistent
Yeah, the app allows you to control functionality remotely. However, I find that I start cycles and the app does not update real time. I have to close the app and start it over. Most of the time I’ve learned to not take the first glance and wait for it to update because it changes so slowly.
It’s also very frustrating to not get any log information. For example, my pool pump restarted without me doing so and the lights also cycled through without me initiating. I tried going through the logs to find a cause or if there was an update and there is no data to look through. It would be helpful so that a user can diagnose a problem.
The timers and countdowns are also buggy. I will start a countdown for 5 hours, and one hour in it shows as though the timer was never started. I have resorted to taking screenshots to remind myself when I start the timer.
I also find that I start a specific chlorinate cycle and then for some reason it has stopped. No notification. No explanation. It would be useful to be notified if a setting changes.

Amazing interface
This app controls all the features of the pool and makes everything work in a very organized fashion.
App no longer communicating with pool
My app suddenly stopped controlling my pool. I can’t change or delete schedules that are already in place. I had to go to the panel to control the pool.
Doesn’t retain username and password
App will not retain username and password necessitating entering both every time you want to change lights / turn features on or off etc. Yes there is a ‘Save’ username slider button but regardless both username and password are lost every time you close the app
