Other read-aloud apps skip your graphs. OmniReader describes them.
Import a textbook, a paper or a report, and OmniReader reads the whole document aloud — including the parts every other reader leaves out. A vision model looks at each figure, table and display equation and writes a short, plain-language description, spoken in place, exactly where it sits on the page. You hear what the chart shows. You hear what the table concludes. You hear the equation the way a tutor would say it.
That is the difference between listening to a novel and actually listening to a textbook.
What it reads
• PDFs, including scanned and layout-heavy pages
• EPUBs
• Web pages and articles, by link or by share sheet
• Textbooks, papers, lecture notes, reports
What it doesn't skip
• Figures and charts — described in plain language, not announced and passed over
• Tables — read as conclusions, not cell by cell
• Display equations — spoken the way a person would read them, equation number included
• Two-column layouts, scanned pages, dense technical typesetting
Listening
• Natural voices, eight to choose from, each with a preview
• Speed from 0.75x to 3x
• Read-along word highlighting, synced to the audio
• Original page view — see the real document while it plays
• Background and lock-screen playback
• Offline downloads: anything you have listened to plays without a connection
• Automatic skipping of the table of contents and front matter
• Share a clip of what you are listening to
Built for studying
Your listening allowance is counted in hours, not characters, and it is shown to you plainly. Re-listening and downloads are always free — only the first conversion of a document counts. Processing is transparent: you see the stage and the page count, never an indeterminate spinner.
Accessibility
OmniReader is built for VoiceOver from day one — importing, playing and navigating all work with a screen reader. Dynamic Type is supported throughout, and every animation has a reduced-motion variant.
Subscription
OmniReader is a subscription app with a 7-day free trial. Start the trial, import your first document, and hear a figure described before you decide. Cancel any time in your Apple account settings.
