About

Every weekend round begins the same way: somebody mutters "you're up," and that's your introduction. On the Tee gives the moment the ceremony it deserves. Pick a hole. Tap a player. An announcer calls them to the box by name - where they're from, every title they've ever claimed - and a gallery erupts behind them. Suddenly your 8:40 tee time at the local muni sounds like Sunday afternoon at a major. It's a joke that lands every time, and it never gets old. HOW IT WORKS 1. Build your player book. Add everyone in your regular group: a photo, their name, the country they're playing out of, and any titles worth mentioning. 2. Start a round. Choose who's playing, set your tee time, and pick the voice that'll be calling them to the box. 3. Announce every tee. Work through all eighteen holes. Tap a player, hold the phone up, and let the announcer do the rest. THE ANNOUNCEMENT Every line is assembled from the player's own card, so no two introductions sound the same: "This is the 8:40 starting time. Now on the 1st tee, from the United States, winner of the 2025 Club Championship, winner of the 2024 Member-Guest... ALEX MORGAN!" The tee time, the hole number, the country, the full list of titles - all of it delivered with the pacing and build of a real first-tee introduction. Countries even get the right grammar, so it's "from the Netherlands" but "from Sweden." FOUR ANNOUNCER VOICES Choose the booth that suits your group, and switch it up between rounds: • British Male - classic links commentary. Measured and dry. • Scottish Male - straight from the home of golf. Gravel and ceremony. • American Male - big network energy. Steady and authoritative. • American Female - warm and expressive, with a bit of theatre. THE PLAYER BOOK Your group is saved between rounds, so the regulars are ready to go next Saturday. Every card holds a photo, a name, a country, and a full list of tournament wins - real ones, club championships, or entirely invented. Nobody's checking. Add, edit, and remove players any time. Your own profile sits at the top of the book, and you're always in the round, so a solo round is still an announced round. PLAYER PHOTOS Take a photo right there on the tee, or pull one from your library. A proper crop tool lets you pinch to zoom, drag to reframe, and double-tap to zoom straight in on a face, so everyone's portrait looks the part. APPLAUSE ON DEMAND An ovation follows every announcement automatically. You can also summon one yourself from the applause control: slide it toward Par for a polite ripple, Birdie for a proper cheer, or Eagle for a full gallery roar. Ideal for a putt that deserved more recognition than it got. BUILT FOR THE COURSE A clean, quick interface meant to be used one-handed with a glove on. Big tap targets, no clutter, and no menus to dig through between shots. The app keeps track of which tees you've already announced, so you can pick up right where you left off. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account. No sign-up. No feed, no followers, no ads. Your player book and every photo in it live on your iPhone and are never uploaded. Announcement text is sent to a text-to-speech service purely so it can be spoken aloud - photos never leave your device. Full details are in the privacy policy. A NOTE ON CONNECTIVITY Announcements and applause are generated on demand, so you'll need a data connection when you tap. The player book and round setup work offline. Give your round the introduction it deserves. Download On the Tee, and never mumble "you're up" again.
