OnDeck: Aquatics Ops

Now requires iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26 or tvOS 26 — and an Apple silicon Mac OnDeck is built with this year's developer tools, which means it needs this year's system software. A device that can't run it keeps the copy of OnDeck it already has and stops receiving updates — nothing stops working, it just stops changing. The Mac app now needs an Apple silicon Mac, which is a narrower cut than the system requirement: an Intel Mac that runs macOS 26 will not receive this update. Widgets, on your Home Screen and Lock Screen Five of them: whether a water reading is overdue, your next shift, certifications expiring across the organization, certifications that lapse before a published shift their holder has already been told to turn up for, and open flags broken down by kind — because "6 open" is a number and "4 out-of-range, 2 failed checklist" is a morning. The shift widget shows only your own shift; a Lock Screen is read by whoever picks the phone up. Start a water reading without opening the app Put "log a water reading" in Control Centre, on your Lock Screen, or on the Action button, and start one from a locked phone. Ask Siri, and search in Spotlight "Log a water reading for the lap pool" opens the right pool by name. "Who's on now?" is answered out loud. Your pools and the checklists you're allowed to run are in Spotlight search — only the ones you may run, and the screen checks again when you arrive. A four-hour water-testing alarm The testing interval now lives in one place that the apps, the web and the server all read, so "when is the next test due" gets the same answer everywhere. Your organization's own roles Staff are shown, assigned and searched by the role names you set up — a Head Guard reads as a Head Guard, not as whichever of six fixed tiers sat nearest. Setting someone's role offers your roles by name, warns you before a change removes a permission, and won't leave you without an administrator. What you can see follows what your role allows Screens and buttons appear based on the permissions your organization granted your role, rather than a seniority number. Where the two disagreed, the permission wins. Nobody under 14 can be given a shift The first block in OnDeck a supervisor cannot type a note past. Youth labour bands start at 14, so a 13-year-old fell through every cap and was read as an adult. The age was on file and nothing looked at it. The youth employment rules you configure are now the ones actually enforced, too. Supervisor shift reports, and tagging a colleague Close out a shift with a structured handover: what happened, what needs following up, and readings taken. Name someone in a report and the follow-up is theirs. Available once your organization turns it on. Signing in no longer lasts a week A session now ends after four hours idle, which matters on a shared supervisor desktop. Working through a shift will not interrupt you. Editing a staff member leaves their job title alone Saving from the app used to overwrite "position" with the access level you had picked — "Aquatics Supervisor" became "supervisor". It doesn't any more. Heat on outdoor checklists Outdoor venues can record a WBGT heat reading as part of a checklist, with the thresholds that come with it. Opt in per organization.
