Das Spielprinzip ist sehr gelungen, jedoch wäre deutlich mehr Potenzial drin gewesen. Es fühlt sich eher an wie ein misslungener Versuch „lifeline“ nachzuahmen. Die Antwortmöglichkeiten sind m.E. nicht immer gut gewählt. Habe das Spiel mehrfach durchgespielt um verschiedene Lösungswege zu Test, wurde dabei leider enttäuscht. Erst vorsichtig und dann nach dem dritten Versuch immer versucht nicht das zu machen, was offensichtlich zu tun ist.
Egal welche Antwort man wählt, es hat keinerlei Auswirkungen auf die spätere Handlung. Ganz im Gegenteil wählt man einen Weg, der nicht vorgesehen ist, wird man automatisch wieder auf den richtigen Pfad geführt, was im Nachhinein eher frustrierend ist und somit den Spaß nimmt, tatsächlich eine Entscheidung getroffen zu haben.

Give it a try - I think you'll like it!
There haven't been any reviews of this for 3 years or more. Plus the developers, the fabulous TheCodingMonkeys, have tweaked it a couple of times in 2020 already, so 'One Button Travel' deserves at least one up-to-date review. Here's mine...
I've had this app installed for quite some time, but as I don't play many games, I hadn't ever got around to playing it for more than a couple of minutes. Well, I've finished it now, and I'm impressed.
To be clear, I'm pretty sure that I bought this due to my friends and I being long-term players of their EXCELLENT (and now sadly removed) Carcassonne game. THAT game was perfectly implemented, with no bugs that we ever found (I reported what I thought was a bug at one point, but they politely pointed out that I was wrong!), even after years of playing, so their attention-to-detail is exceptional.
'OBT' is no different. It's clever, detailed, and bug-free - at least in my perfectionist opinion. I thought I'd found a typo at one point - but quickly realised that was a plot device, and therefore intentional!
Obviously, no spoilers here. It's a medium-length, interesting, real-time, quirky, funny adventure. I highly recommend you put a little time into it, you won't be disappointed. It's certainly worth the current GBP 2.99 asking price for a few hours of fun. Just ignore the old, negative reviews found here!
Oh, and I played it on an iPhone, which worked perfectly. I plan to get an Apple Watch soon, and I suspect that this game would be even better on that - the Watch is probably the ideal medium for such a real-time, interactive game!

Ich habe mich tatsächlich von den mehr 20 guten Bewertungen blenden lassen. War auch neugierig, weil ich diese Art von Spiel gerne mag. Doch viele Antworten führen ins Leere, das Spiel selbst fesselt mich persönlich gar nicht. Und ich habe nicht nur 5 Minuten gespielt. Schade, das Prinzip ansich ist gut...einen Stern verdient es dafür...muss ich auch vergeben, um bewerten zu dürfen. Was gut wäre, wäre eine Probeversion mit einem Kapitel, die dann bei Gefallen weiter freigeschaltet/gekauft werden kann. So kaufe ich das Ganze (und das war nicht preiswert) und das ist schade.

Zu Anfang fand ich das Spiel wirklich gut.
tolles Konzept aber nicht so wirklich gut umgesetzt.
es ist immer die gleiche story line egal welche Antwort man auswählt und wirklich fantasievoll und kreativ ist die Geschichte auch nicht gestaltet aber der Soundtrack und die Grafiken sind wirklich sehr gut

Grundsätzlich gelungen, aber eindimensional
Mehr ein Roman als ein Spiel, eindimensionale Handlungsstränge ohne viele Entscheidungsmöglichkeiten. Sehr schöne Spielidee, sehr gelungene Umsetzung als Textadventure.

If you don’t like the real-time aspect of the story, you can enable “Speed Mode” in the Settings. (Just scroll down and activate it.)

Not a game that people above 20 years, who played monkey island / Larry / space quest whould call an adventure or even a well told story.

Detailverliebte App, die es mit sparsamen Mitteln schafft, sehr spannend und atmosphärisch zu sein. Ein Game der Sorte, die man auf alle Fälle zu Ende spielen will.
Mir ist, da ich mitten im Spiel stecke, noch nicht ganz klar, ob es völlig linear ist oder ob man den Spielverlauf stärker beeinflussen kann.

It's a great app, but needs more plot to keep us interested. Also no matter what you do you don't seem to be able to affect your fate much
Lost interest
Cute idea, this seems to be a fiction story written as if you're receiving it in text message format. Unfortunately I didn't feel a connection with the character, despite the "interactive" stop points (it didn't seem my choices actually changed the course of the story?). After a couple of days of playing in my off time, I lost interest. Wish there were consequences to choices, because the story wasn't compelling enough on its own to keep me engaged.

Good interactive fiction
I enjoyed playing this. Good sci fi scenario with attractive interface and memorable sound track. The Apple Watch app works well. Good sense of timing, plot, and suspense.
