■ See what a screenshot becomes, before it becomes it Tapping "file it" used to just make notes. You found out what you got after they appeared, and undoing it meant deleting them. Now there is one stop before that. You see the photo and the text that was read from it, and for a single shot you can fix the title and body right there. For several, you choose one note or one each — grouped is picked for you to start with. Reading the text happens entirely on this device. ■ Tags that write themselves Turn it on in Settings and each note is read as it is saved, and a fitting tag is added at the end. It only picks from tags you already use, never invents new ones, and adds nothing when it isn't sure. If you don't like it, delete it like any other text. ■ See what you saved Share an article or an Instagram post into One Line and all you got was a blue address. In the list, there was no telling what it had been. Now, open the note and a card stands there with the title and the picture. Turn it on in Settings; the request goes straight to that site and never through us. ■ Fold a long note Tap a "## heading" while reading and everything under it folds away, with a count of the lines now hidden. It stays folded until you open it again. ■ Look through, not down Switch the Notes tab to a grid and the first photo becomes the cover. Notes without a photo get their opening lines as a cover instead, so nothing disappears from view. ■ Apple and Google, one account In Settings > Account, link the sign-in method you haven't used yet, and from then on you see the same notes either way. If that account already holds someone else's notes, the app says so and changes nothing. ■ A weekly look back Once a week, on the day you choose, and only when there is something from that week. Ignore it a few times and it comes less often; keep ignoring it and it turns itself off. ■ Closer to hand · Photo and voice moved to the front of the toolbar. They were behind nine formatting buttons, out of reach without scrolling. · A clear button in the search field and the title field. · "Upcoming" on Today starts open, so a day with nothing due no longer looks empty. ■ Fixed · The blue flash on every cold launch is gone. · In Dark Mode the status bar text blended into the background. · The title row in the editor could sit under the camera area. · A screen-covering notice did not cover it for VoiceOver, so buttons behind it could still be pressed. · You can now redeem a promo code from the Pro screen. · With the app set to English, one block of Settings — the automatic-tagging switch and everything under it — was still showing Korean.
