Simple and useful

Great simple list app to carry on your wrist. iCloud sync works well and swiftly.

Only wishes: history of completed items with date stamp and more Apple Watch complications. Even with a simple app icon that can be used in any watch face to just open the app with one tap.

Brilliant

This is so simple yet so useful, it’s brilliant

Simplest way to be productive

This is a fantastic app. It has a functional Apple Watch interface. I usually create tiny tasks out of big ones to progress and this has been instrumental in keeping me off my phone. Checking phone every few minutes is annoying for task management. So, I note down on paper stuff that I have to do today and then as I go through the day I create tiny tasks on this app on the watch.

I also like that you can read the whole task description on the watch screen. Not many apps have that.

excellent

bestie for me

Yuk!

Expected so much more and got so much less. Adding to-dos is a disaster; you so much as move your cursor over them and they are deleted so you are required to enter them all over again. In sum, it creates more work of you than it saves.

Finally found the app I’ve been wanting!

I’ve been looking for an app like this forever, I’m so glad to have found it. I used to use NowDoThis, which was beautifully elegant and simple, but it disappeared many years ago. One feature I’d love to see (I recognize that the beauty of this app is its simplicity) is the ability to randomize the list. For me, often the order doesn’t matter, and randomizing takes the pressure off of having to come up with the perfect sequence of tasks. It also injects a little bit of surprise. Thanks for the app!

You can choose random order in the widget configuration.

it’s a list. period.

there is no way to have only one task appear using this app. I can make own todo lists since I was five years old. One Task doesn’t fulfill the promise of its name.

Great

I installed this today and I got so much done. There was almost no overwhelm or dread because I forgot what tasks were coming next. You genuinely just have to deal with one thing at a time. Amazing.

Widget on desktop doesn’t appear

I added it but it disappears again. What a scam

Simplicity = Productivity!

EXACTLY what I was looking for! Can add tasks quickly and prioritize them easily using drag ‘n’ drop; widget displays only one task at a time. No data collected. 👌🏻

The best app for focusing one One Task

Seamless sync between devices. Great Shortcuts integration. I use it to keep track of little tasks that I’m currently working on in bigger projects. I love the widgets on Mac and iPhone. Definitely my number one used Widget in Mac’s Today View.

Increases My Productivity

This is great for people that might get overwhelmed when they have a ton of tasks on their list! I was diagnosed with ADHD about 20 years ago and it definitely has helped my productivity by being able to only focus on either 1 specific task or a specific step for tasks that have multiple parts.

*Shame that the only 2 written reviews on this are for a bug that was fixed fast enough that I didn’t even notice that it was a problem.

Widget isn’t showing on lock screen.

Widget doesn’t appear in the customization options for the lock screen. Home screen is doing fine though.

Response from developer

This is a iOS bug. Restart your device to make it show up in the widget picker.

it’s broken

broken lol

Response from developer

This was caused by a bug in the latest iOS update. An update to the app with a fix was released soon after.

Small, But Useful

is a category of apps I install on various devices of mine.
One Thing is the perfect example of what an app in that category does - it gets something you’ve been trying to do on your own for a while right effortlessly.

The only missing thing in it is iCloud sync.

Response from developer

It does have iCloud syncing. See the app’s website for troubleshooting if it’s not working for you.

It's just what you need

This is a simple app that does just what I need and nothing more. Love it.

Todo app that actually helps

Most todo apps I tried, end up degenerating into a bottomless pit of aspirations that failed to be provided real-life resources, and tasks that no longer made sense after a week because my understanding of the bigger goal or context would render them obsolete or outdated. Eventually, it becomes futile and dangerous to add important tasks requiring focused actioning into the mess. Attempting to clean things up would trigger high levels of discomfort and guilt. Onto the next Todo list app that starts with a clean slate...

One Task clearly gets this, and presents a design so stripped down that you'd have to try very hard to end up with overflowing and outdated tasks. It forces me to list up a realistic number of tasks to get done every day, and just shows you one on your desktop to reduce cognitive burden, encouraging you to focus and tick it off.

I've found the extension (placed in the middle of my desktop) to sometimes refuse to update when I update my tasks in the app, but most likely this is a macOS / extension limitation.

I wish more apps could focus on actual effectiveness over feature lists and pretty screenshots, like this gem of an app.

Game changer.

Such a simple idea, but a total and utter game changer. If you use full sceen, I'd recommend adding it to your Notification Center widgets so you can have access to all your tasks whilst in full screen with a simple slide from right-to-left. Would be cool if it could be integrated with the developer's awesome One Thing app, since I'm sort of using it for the same thing. But they could be used differently depending on how you think of it. If you have One Thing and love it, you'll probably love this even more. I'm going to see if I can somehow automatically pull all my Today tasks from Trello into the app on startup using Keyboard Maestro or some other app.

One Task

Kleine App, ich benutze diese, um mir kleine Notizen zu machen.
Synchronisiert mit iPad und iPhone. Gut und kostenlos.
