About
ONE WORD A DAY. YOUR WEEKS BECOME YOUR DIARY.
One Word is an easy way to look back on your life without keeping a journal. Choose one word for your day. That is the whole daily commitment.
Each finished week becomes a written reflection, made from your words. Over time, those reflections add up to a record of your weeks to return to, and sometimes something to learn from. A week with only a few words gets a short, honest note instead of a guess.
SMALL INPUT. SOMETHING TO COME BACK TO.
• Leave one word a day: type it or say it, tap a frequent word on the widget, use the watch app, log it with a voice command, or reply to the daily reminder.
• Missed a day? Add its word later from the calendar.
• Read each week's reflection, then open a quiet space to read it slowly.
• Keep a reflection or bookmark a passage that stays with you.
• Move back through your weeks, and let the widget show you a word from a year ago.
• Lock the app if you like.
• Export your records as JSON, CSV or a PDF report, and delete them whenever you choose.
REFLECTIONS WITH CARE.
A reflection states a finding only when your record supports it, and each one says what it does not claim. Your word belongs to you: One Word does not treat it as a measure of your feelings or pretend to know why you chose it.
YOUR DIARY STAYS WITH YOU.
No account, no advertising, no cross-app tracking. Your words and reflections stay on your device and are not sent to an AI service. After your first word, One Word asks once about a daily reminder, health readings and your approximate location for weather. Each is optional and can be changed in Settings. Voice input uses the system's speech recognition, and the platform's weather and speech services may process those requests.
One Word is free in this release, with no new subscription purchases. It is a journaling tool, not medical advice or mental-health treatment.
