OneBeat Guitar Play is a fretboard trainer that listens. Jam the blues over a 12-bar band while licks scroll in as tab, or drill notes and scale shapes — the app hears every note you play and checks off the exact string and fret. BLUES A 12-bar minor blues band plays — real recorded guitar over a drum groove — while licks scroll toward a hit line as tab, and a fretboard below shows where each lick sits on the neck with the next note ringed. • Four keys: Am, Em, Gm and Cm. • Fifty licks across Easy, Medium and Hard — bends, slides, hammer-ons, pull-offs, double stops and fast runs, with a lick that resolves to the root every few. • Three tempos, 60, 70 and 80 BPM, to learn a lick slowly before playing it at speed. Medium and Hard mix in a few licks from the level below. • Every note is scored as you play it, with early and late feedback, and the app shows the note it hears, so a miss tells you whether it was the timing or the fret. • Repeat mode plays the same lick again until you hit 80% of it. • A ring around the play button tracks the 12 bars, and your last and best accuracy and streak are kept for every key, level and tempo. FIND NOTE Choose a note and find it everywhere, from the nut to the twelfth fret. The next position to play is ringed; play the right string and it checks off. Positions that are genuinely the same pitch on two strings are told apart by which string you last played. SCALES Major and minor in all twelve keys, as one classic movable five-fret box with the root highlighted. Switch to Pentatonic for all five positions of the minor and major pentatonic and both blues scales, with the blue note marked inside the box. TIMED, EVERY SESSION Set how many repetitions a session takes and the timer runs while you play. Each tab keeps its own last time and best time for each repetition count, so you have a number to beat that means something. Tap the dice to jump to a random key and keep it honest. PRACTICE HISTORY Every finished session is logged — which tab, which key or shape, and your time or, for Blues, your accuracy — with new personal bests flagged.
