Onion Cam2 is a mobile application designed for creating stop-motion and time-lapse photography. It provides tools to help users capture images sequentially and assemble them into a movie. The app is a successor to Onion Cam, with improved image storage and export capabilities.
Key features include an 'onion-skin' function that shows a translucent overlay of the previous image to guide your next shot, guideline displays for composition, the ability to change the order of captured pictures, and movie export functionality. You can also save multiple projects, with the current version supporting up to 32 projects.
The application is free to download and use, but it does include in-app purchases and advertisements. Specific details on the cost of in-app purchases are not provided in the description, but these typically unlock additional features or remove ads.
Onion Cam2 requires iOS 17.6 or a later version of the operating system. Ensure your device meets this requirement to download and run the application smoothly.
This app is ideal for creating stop-motion animations of objects, time-lapse videos of changing scenes (like clouds or construction), or any project where sequential image capture is needed. Its onion-skinning feature makes it particularly useful for beginners learning animation techniques.
